    wtf?

wasn't he advanced like 100,000 a few years ago to fight in the k-1 and never did, what did he do with the money? He seems mentally broken lately but if they can put him against a novelty or another washed up boxer then ok.

Who would irresponsible enough or stupid enough to teach an unstable person like Tyson BJJ techniques or Mua Thai. He's already proven he is a hasbeen, loser and moron. He can't keep it together in boxing he damkn sure wont do it in another venue. That idiot should have stayed training with Kevin Rooney and away from Don King.

If he had... he probably would have been one of the greatest boxers of all time.

Tyson was always mentally broken ever since his former trainer n former promotor past away. If they have had died later Tyson wouldnt be so broken as he is now.

Tyson's punching power and hand speed would put him immediately against K-1's top fighters.

Against a lower ranked class A K-1 fighter, it will be a mismatch and reminiscent of Tyson in the mid 80's; a 30-second KO.

Keep in mind Hoost, allthough putting up an impressive fight against Sapp, got KO'd from a big power puncher with just the fundamentals of boxing (Sapp never threw a kick!).

I can see Cro Cop keeping Tyson busy for 2 rounds....but if a Cro-cop/Tyson fight ever takes place, someone's going to get knocked out and its hard to say who!

I think Tyson would be a threat to the K-1 ranks, I mean he'll always have that puncher's chance, and I don't know how well some of the fighters could handle him in close. What is K-1's rules on clinching? Can you hold behind the neck in a Thai style clinch? I think Tyson in a straight Muay Thai match might not fare so well in close, especially with someone who is strong in the clinch. Those elbows and knees can take the fight out of alot of dudes.

                tyson`s heart

to do well in any fighting sport, you need heart, and the last two fights Tyson has shown and even admitted that he doesn`t have the heart for it. K-1 fights are only 3 rounds, so he may be able to fake his way through it, but there are a lot of K-1 fighters who are hungry to take Tyson`s head off, but I doubt that he is equally hungry for their heads. As for setting him up with no name opponents (which he has been losing to in the boxing world, why would K-1 be any different?) to milk as much $$$ out of him as he is worth is a typical K-1 strategy (see Akebono) but then they probably are realistic that they may have him for only one fight, so they might just put him in the ring with one of the top fighters for a one-time, dream card, super fight. You never know. But I would bet on the K-1 fighter every time

fugetsu, I agree. I change my opinion because of Tyson's lack of desire. However, should that fighting spirit come back, I'll bet on Tyson.

Would Tyson make it to the top?

No disrespect for Tyson what he has achived is Boxing,No one may gain for a long time. When it come to the World of kicking, his foot are too slow compaired to the K-1 fighters.Boxing can get their face covered pretty well,But are are three target in K-1.Head,Midsection & Legs.Botha has been fighting in K-1 for a long time. But has yet to win with K.o.punches.Well Best of luck to Tyson.

                      Tyson is a puncher

Tyson is made to be a puncher and he may be just that in K-1, but I don't know how he would be in K-1, where all the weapons of the body are in use. One thing is certain it would be a totally different game. I wish him the best of luck however if this is a venue he intends to pursue.

We don't need an idiot like that involved in muay thai, K-1, or mma the guy will break every rule in the book and is the most mentally unstable person in fighting sports.
Completely agree. He does not deserve the honour of fighting in professional sports ...

I hope he gets a much deserved taste of reality, and leaves ... permanently. Though that is probably being optimistic.

I would love to see him beat everybody up in K1 then return to boxing & knock everybody out. Maybe the UFC & all MMA events is what Tyson needs.
That would be one hell of a fighting spectacle. I think Tyson would do better than ali in MMA. Remember the Ali versus Antonio Inoki the Japanese Shoot Fighter. The match was a draw but ali ended up with a broken leg.
I dont think Tyson can be compared to Ali, Ali was just the best hes too fast, if he took thai training I'm pretty sure hed be good at kicking too, I've never seen someone faster than Ali, he's a legend and he sticks to the rules ;p

Tyson can never be compaired to Ali,Coz he worships Ali.If he had a manager and corner man with the likes of Ali,he would've regained his Title back.He did catch Lewis in the first round but could not follow up.Tyson has one of most powerfull punch in the world, even his left has the power to K.O.fighter like Frank Bruno.Tyson is re-known to have fought many former champion and k.o.them all.Danny Williams was just a another fighter who gave a dame and won Tyson.Behind that arrigant act,Tyson dose has a heart of Godl.He Once gave a house to former boxer[who he did not know] when he heard about his financial problems.
Ali had a sence of how people reacted to hims humer."Some people say,I have a big mouth and some say I need a good wopping. "I wish Tyson had it too............

Ali fought Antonio Inoki, some called it a joke but take a look at Ali's face while he is taking a leg kick,

his leg was not broken but I believe he did go to the hospital afterwards for severe hematoma in the thigh

anyone who thinks Mike Tyson had little boxing skills has little knowledge of boxing or who people like Cus D'amato were.

sports illustrated put out a video along time ago (late 80's?) with Mike Tyson commentary and discussion on classic fight clips, it shows a side of Tyson not many have ever seen, an articulate analysis ofthe old time greats from a young man with a great knowledge of boxing history and technique.
Too bad we probably wont ever see that side of him again.........

Tyson will never be a regular K1 fighter because he has a felony sexual assault conviction and has been refused admittance into the country because of that conviction.

However, K1 does do some cross promotional work with BJ Penn's ROTR group and they have held events in Hawaii. There is a remote, extremely remote, possibility that he might do a superfight or two at K1 events held in Hawaii or the occasional show that goes through Las Vegas.
