Off to Thailand

i think i kinda know where your talking about now aseepish, old mans got a 2 cars and a bike so getting there should be fun (in thailand traffic :P)

Derekwl, i havent trained up in thailand yet, but hopefuly will be in december, so i`ll look around and try to find camps and get back to you hopefully before you head off. lanna sounds like a great camp. i know theres a little camp up north near dads house, but dont know how good it would be.

Yea I've heard good things about Lanna as well, I think that will be my initial camp, and I think I'll train in a few different camps to get a feel for the Thai system. You're lucky Gunza, you have quite the travel advantage over me I wish I could get over there more, as I've been there once when I was 14, but wasnt training then. Anyways, good luck in December!

If you want fun take a Tuk-tuk instead they are bloody mint, wish I had one here at home.

tuk tuks are wiked fun, bikes are also thou, squeezing through gaps in the traffic which you would never try back at home makes your heart skip a beat!!

tuk tuks in the wet are hilarious too, especially when there are pin holes in the roof where the driver has 'accidently' placed cigarettes, and rain comes flying in from all directions.. good times thou.

Derekwl, how old are you now? i was in thailand when i was 12 for a year, now i am 19. never even thought of training when i was younger, just enjoyed having a pelet gun and shooting things all day

I once saw the aftermath of a head on collision between a tuk tuk and a truck on the Nawarat bridge. I'm not sure if there were casualties, but there were sandals, bags, and bodies pretty much everywhere. The truck had veered off after the collision and had its nose in the guard rail of the bridge. It was pretty unsettling.

all vehicles have their downsides.. saw a guy riding a bike in bangkok once, and another biker ran into his behind... to say he flew like superman is an insult.... luckly he missed oncomming traffic and rolled a fair while. think he got up afterwards though.
