  • lowkicks - the days after

Just been to a tournament, taking some lowkicks. Even though we wear some thin shin guards, the day after I can barely walk on my right leg.
Since this has happened before and will happen again, I'd like to know if there is something you can do to speed the healing up. Stretching, massage?
    Any secret thai tips?

next tourney ice down immedialetly after then 48 hours later start using tiger balm. If really really sore, soak in epson salt mixed with wintergreen alcohol. Stretching also, 30 minutes at a time................

Are you sure that will make it better? Because I don't train thai boxing, I train kickboxing...

No but about thai liniment and tiger balm, I heard that it only has an effect on the surface, that it doesn't go deep, into the muscle. So does it really sink in more than a few millimiters?
Just curious about the medical side of thai liniment. Sure it feels hot, but does it REALLY help?

I would use ice for a day or two. Than sit in a bath tub with sea salt or Mg Salts. It will promote healing and break up the bruses.

I know what you're fishing for.....

you might try regular, light leg sparring to keep your thighs used to contact.
