Guess not as much. I was just thinking about that Ramon Dekker had trouble winning on points in thailand, he had to knock them out to win. But perhaps this is because boxing doesn't give many points, and he uses it more than the thais.

I sure would love to. But I'd have to pay for ringside tickets, or it wouldn't be worth it. You have to be close to really see and hear, otherwise it's just better on TV. And they are expensive, so it'll probably not happen.
The rule regarding clinching & kneeing in K-1 was not changed due to Buakaw. That rule has been on the books since the beginning. However, it had become one of those rules where the referee would let things slide.
Buakaw's dominance of the clinch has now caused them to start ENFORCING this rule.
Very similar to the "Ty Law" rule in American Football. The rules regarding contact going down the field have been on the books for a long time, but were not being enforced. Ty Law took advantage of this, and because of that the rule is now being enforced.
Abe, unfortunately I haven't seen Sakmongkol fight. I like fighters for different things. Buakaw for his kicking for instance, I like seeing him fight. I'm not sure if I have a favourite one, not sure I could even pick one.
Well me too in a way, but i just love him because he somehow managed to beat every big name in MT at the time and has a heart of lion. (Once fought with a dislocated shoulder and put in back into place himself in the fight) If you want gabbah PM me and i will give you links for his fights.
