I've always found the best way to critisize yourself is to look from a third person perspective. Who has / does videotape themselves while sparring to look at their technique, and how much would you think it helps? Also, does your gym allow recording devices?

That's the distance you'd have to move your pinky in order to not sound like an idiot. I know the burden of pressing shift to capitalize is a great one, but c'mon, you can do better than that. I used to type emails in caps like yours, but then I decided that I didn't want a job mixing concrete.

I agee that videotape can be awesome learning tool. I've often thought about piecing together a few things on video if I ever taught sparring again.
I always felt like my students never GOT certain things...like you pour it on when your opponent is vulnerable. I think being able to show that on video, maybe even repeat it or do it in slow-mo would be great.

Oh yeah,
Seeing a video of yourself is a real awakener. Suddenly your not as good as you thought you were. Its like "oh my god is that what I look like?"
Its a great learning tool. I try to video my fights whenever possible. Even though I won my last fight by KO, when I saw the vid I was shocked at how sloppy I was. Made me aware of alot of areas that needed improvement.
Havent tried videoing my regular sparring sessions yet, but I've been thinking about asking my instructor about it. I think its worth doing every now and then.
