Not sure if you've all seen this one before. But from what i see the MT guy isn't very good at MT. He's a little too scared of getting hit and he kept dropping his guard.
Not to take away that victory from the TKD bb. He was at least better than most other TKDers

Style doesent make the fighter. Typically, Id say MT is a "stronger" style, relying more on less flashy techniques (even though MT does have a few).

Its the fighter who makes the win. There are awesome TKD guys, and crap MT guys. Its all about how serious you take it and how much you put in it.

Yea, and also the guy in the TKD suit looked to be a bigger fighter then the little Thai man. The Thai guy looked like it was his first fight ever and he ran back with his hands down and the TKD guy looked like he has been doing it for a while.

Agreed. The MT guy might be a new fighter, but still the TKD won the fight.

I think a better TKD vs Kickboxing/Muaythai fight would be the Korean Silver Medalist vs. Genki Sudo.

Also Serkhan Yilmaz vs Masato (muaythai).

The silver medalist guy and Yilmaz are pretty proficient in TKD and do pretty well.

thaiguy makes a great point. Depending on what aspects of TKD the fighter trains in, and how he trains, he might be great in the ring or horrible. e may even be smart and have done a bit of cross-training, which is generally beneficial.

That TKD guy had his hands down a lot, and those random kick flurries seemed rather flashy, yet he pulled them off pretty damn well.

we cant tell what sport is better just by watching a fight !

i made a post recently called " The strongest form of Martial Art "

where there is a video of Muay Thai winning on TKD .

            BUT AGAIN ... it's not a proof ... it's just another fight .

I don’t agree with your point that martial arts can’t be compared which is better.

Quote from your statement “Another point , if there is a fight between a Thai boxer and taekwondo , the winner of the fight don’t prove anything , it just could mean that a person is stronger than another person on the ring (this could change on the street) .” I wonder what do you think about what makes a fighter “strong”? In the clips that you put above, it shows that a TKD guy don’t know nothing about a less rules ring fight, he get too used to TKD rules fight.
That TKD guy don’t know how to defend himself from a low roundhouse kick without knowing that he needs to defend the roundhouse kicks. In this case, I think TKD limited that Koren guy’s mind and his view of fighting. In other words, TKD weaken that Koren guy. He keep on sidekicking and keep on eating RH kicks.
Nevertheless, take a look at the thai fighter. He trained under a less rules fighting system ” Muaythai” which makes him a more complete fighter, and this is what making muaythai a “stronger” art.
Martial arts not only bringing techniques to people, but also a point of view of what the hell fighting is, so if an art teach you SHXT, then you will fight like SHXT——– like that TKD guy——

              Good luck, friend

Honestly, I have never seen a "standard" MT pratictioner fight like this, he looked like he has been trained in MT no more then three months, so what so exciting about a senior TKD and kickboxing mixer won the fight?

For me it's not the martial art " name " which make a fighther stronger , it's the training and dedication for what he's doing and training for .

You are right in some of what you said , if a person is not trained to defend his self from some attack that a +1pts to the other martial arts , but that just a point , there is a lot of other points that we should consider before saying that a type of martial arts is better than another .

                  Good luck

                    of course, you are welcome.

Nowadays TKD that I see is just a punch of fancy kicks and punch of idiots "playing" under a very closed mind rules which don't allow punches , low kicks. Those rules make TKD practitioners don't know nothing to do when it comes to open rules fighting. In addition, TKD it self does't has good techinques either, the kick mostly sucks, punches sucks, and blocks sucks. I think non of them works in a realistic fight. Now tell me, how can TKD be a strong art?

ow tell me, how can TKD be a strong art
i never said TKD is stronger than Muay Thai ... i never found this martial art strong because it only use legs ...

but i was speaking generally when comparing martials arts , we shouldnt compare just by watching a fight .

another example , a professional open martial arts had fight few weeks ago in Boxing , he was knocked out first round ... does this mean Boxing is better than open martial arts ? simple no ...

How about this? let a TKD guy fight a Muaythai guy, and lets say they have both trained for 3 years under their traditional training method. Who will win? come on, we all know!

Theres more than one type of TKD and each choses to train differently.

Remember not everyone who practices MA wants to be kicked in the thighs 100 times, some people practice it for pleasure, others for a simple form of self defense.

This should at least help settle it. Notice the agression of each fighter in teh two videos one is agg one is not.. And how the more teh fighter is winning his confidence goes up.
