  • glove wear & tear

Beginner question: How do you know if your gloves (16oz Revgear) are wearing out/have worn out? After 6 months of 3+ days a week training, I'm noticing less effective padding on the punches. Better gloves last longer (right?) or is it a more or less standard age rate (replace how often)? Thanks.

all gloves wear out after time. if you're using your gloves as often as you claim, thats not too bad a time for them to last.

A good pair of gloves, with proper care, will last about a year or two of heavy use before needing to be replaced. The RevGear gloves are decent quality and you should expect to get about a years heavy use before you'd want to consider replacing them.

You need to make sure you are keeping them clean and storing them in a ventilated area. If you keep them in your gym bag, in your car, etc, they are going to get funky, nasty, etc and wear out faster.

      revgear?

seriously though I've had to replace my Fairtex once every three years. Fairtex or Twins are a good bet.

      good luck
