I'm training for a upcoming fight that will happen in March. I noticed my biggest problem lately is I often hesistate very briefly before strikes. How do I stop hesistating? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Stop hesistating?

Or, alternately...
You may be hesitating because you're trying too hard to do it right, instead of just doing it.
Sometimes a fighter will subconciously get so caught up in form (technique) that he'll make it more important than function.
Stop thinking and just throw it out there! It won't matter if it's sloppy, it won't matter if it's not exactly the way you've been training it. Twitch react!
Flinch! STOP THINKING IT and Nike it. "Just do it!"
There, that oughta confuse the issue nicely!

I've found that the cure for hesitation is hard, aggressive sparring. You need to find a sparring partner who is able to press the action in such a way that your either respond, or get dropped!
Seriously! Get a sparring partner to just drive in on you, straight-blast style, and not let up unless you are able to physically stop them with your own techniques.

Why do you hesitate? You need to describe what you think is the reason or what your feel/think when you hesitate.Originally posted by Nine Demons God View PostI'm training for a upcoming fight that will happen in March. Is it becuause you think that your opponent will land his blow before yours when you open up throwing the punch?

My thoughts exactly. Hesitation reeks of not having enough good sparring experience. When you spar people, are they a challenge or are you all over them? The key could be finding some new sparring partners so you learn somthing new all the time and get the confidence you need to back yourself.Originally posted by Khun Kao View PostI've found that the cure for hesitation is hard, aggressive sparring.
