I've never been to the US so I don't have any personal experience in that area. But thats what I've been told by people who have been there on holiday who took the opportunity to check out some of the gyms.Originally posted by thaiboxer67 View Postnetherlands tick? i hear that the recreational classes there are like the fighter training classes here...
Vos Gym. Named after it's founder Johan Vos. There is also a school named after Johan Vos in Tokyo.vos or vas gym in amsterdam...

If you want to learn anything about Muay Thai on this forum then Fire Cobra is the man to speak to, so I'd drop the attitude.

no you took what i said wrong, i am curious as to where he got his muay thai, doubt i will run across him anytime soon, so what he says i will believe, and i though i have some time training, am by no means an expert...that make it clear? i'm just looking to broaden my knowledge and hopefully not chase smoke and mirrors.Originally posted by Michael Wright View PostYou're seriously pissing up the wrong tree my friend.

Takes a lot to offend me bro so im cool, however I couldnt help wondering what sort of attitude was behind your words.Originally posted by thaiboxer67 View Postno you took what i said wrong, i am curious as to where he got his muay thai, doubt i will run across him anytime soon, so what he says i will believe, and i though i have some time training, am by no means an expert...that make it clear? i'm just looking to broaden my knowledge and hopefully not chase smoke and mirrors.

In reply to where I learnt my Muay Thai, first of it was in the Uk with 2 Thai nationals,1 who had been a famous boxer in Thailand in the 1960s,Ive also spent 2.5 years in total training in Thailand with Ex Champions and champions from various eras of Muay Thai, these include boxers such as Hippy Sigmarnee(one of the best boxers of the modern era) and Sagat Porntawee(of the streetfighter game fame) also Chorb Rawee who fought Toshio Fujiwara and other top Japanese Boxers in the 1970s,so many more I could mention, however suffice to say Im still travelling to Thailand to learn and absorb the art and the culture as I love Thailand and Thai people so much.
I now run my own camp which is called Fire Cobra after one of my teachers whom I dont see anymore(cant locate him in Thailand).
In reply to your Pm to me on where to train,I would go with Sityodtong of the camps you mentioned,I hope your journey into Muay Thai brings you as many friends and as much pleasure and personal growth as it has for me,please take to Thailand a respectfull attitude and a big smile and Im sure you will have a great experience.
