Burmese swords

was the large sword used on elephant back, they said it could possibly be an elephant sword or a sword used to hack at the elephant from the ground? just wondering? anyone know?

The japanese link to the sword making or the influence is interesting. Although its called a dah or dha which is a burmese sword i thought and the handle does look burmese.

Enjoyed the link with the old weapons prices are way high but its for serious collectors. Collecting swords takes some upkeep its difficult keeping swords cleanbecause they pit and rust if you dont.
