Oh yeah George,it just happened to me today! they seem to do things in 3s,changing the 3rd one so they dont become predictable, the fakes or tricks are superb on all of the clever fighters arent they George, you really have to develop your eyes to a high level.

Agreed, I think working with these high level fighters has really brought this all to the forefront so to speak. I dont think many times in my life i had this many high level people constantly in front of me to work it. It can be frustrating but now its illuminating so to speak. I'm starting to see and realize things> Its part of muay thai i rarely see talked about or mentioned. You know we talked on other threads about general things but its the tiny things that make muay thai so good. Theres much more there than meets the eye. We watch alot of those grueling top notch fights and those guys make it look easy but when you out there under pressure, being pressed, its a whole another thing.

Yeah George I agree on the little things,I have been taught to build, break, and rebuild from top to bottom(head to foot) and back again constantly, and make sure each time I build stronger,Im in the breaking/rebuilding phase again now for the umpteenth time! sometimes I think Ill never get "it" right!.

Thats good to hear because sometimes you get frustrated and such, and talking with other people helps break up the mental clutter. I think like you said its something deeper and unspoken going on in muay thai that makes it what it is at the high level. I guess if you keep striving and climbing things will always need the slight adjustments and tweeks.

I found also as i got better, the trainer on the pads, started to turn it up a notch, he was using subtle fast counters to my attacks to see where i would wind up. Its almost like he knows its time to draw it out of you, to push you up a notch.
