  • To the memory of Bill Gephardt

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the death of one of the TBA's instructors, Bill Gebhardt. Bill fought a valliant battle against cancer and passed away a few weeks ago.

For those that didn't know him he was a dedicated student, a decent man and a spirited fighter. He will be sorely missed.

OK, I realize that I am totally late to this news! But I was reading through the old forum messages and found this! This really bums me the heck out!!!!

I used to compete in Bill's Muay Thai events in State College back in the early to mid-90's. My instructor, Master K, would have me act as the liason for our gym. Bill was a really great guy, and I am very sorry that I had lost touch with him many years back.

Condolences to his family, his friends, his training partners, and his students. He will most definatlely be missed!

I was one of Sifu Gebhardt's advanced student's / Instructors and after his passing have since taken over most of the instruction at what was the State College Martial Arts Academy and is now TITAN FITNESS. I will be putting together a memorial video of Sifu Gebhardt with clips from his training, teaching and trips to the philippines, fights, etc. We will be asking for charitable donations to the Bill Gebhardt Fund for Children from anyone interested in downloading the video. I will post here once it is finished. Anyone in search of more information on this can PM or email me.

        Respectfully,

        Ryan Gruhn
