  • Easy hand wraps

I just ordered a heavy bag for my garage, and my fiancee would like to hit it for exercise too. The problem is that I don't see her having the patience to wrap her hands with traditional wraps. Is there anything on the market that you can slip on like a glove and tighten the wrist that would be functionally the same as handwraps??? If so, where can I get them??

You can put on hand wraps in like 3 minutes.

After putting them on about 10 times, you can put them on in 3 minutes...the first few times, I would make stupid mistakes like forgetting the thumb. Also, being shown how to do it the first time takes a good 10 or 15 minutes...for someone that I think will hit the bag once or twice a month, a glove or something easier than wraps would be nice...

Go to a Boxing Equipment Supply website, like Ringside.com or titleboxing.com

They have these wrap-on glove things that look like what you're talking about.

There are good threads already on this forum so do a search on hand wraps.

After a few times of wrapping her hands she should pick it up in no time & will wrap both hands in about 5 mins with the wraps that have the thumb loop on one end & velcro for the wrist the other end.

Also with the straps that come with the thumb loop get a block of sponge padding that's sticky on one side then start to put on wraps & when covering knuckles stick the pad across them on top of the wraps then continue to wrap over it in the normal way, then when she goes to wrap up again the pad is on the right part of the strap, or just stick a block of pad inside wraps as you go along, as skin toughens make the pad smaller.

Goatnipples2002, KungFuPanda or DJcoldfusion is best to talk to about this subject as they seemed to find the info last time.

I had done a previous search on hand wraps and didn't find the answer I was looking for...I found this product on Ringside.com:

At Ringside, we are serious about fight sports, especially boxing and MMA. We offer the best prices on boxing equipment in addition to videos, tutorials, and guides. Low-cost shipping guaranteed!

which should be good for an infrequent bag user...

Those particular pads are supposed go underneath your handwraps and will not provide the same stability for the wrists and metacarpal bones in the top of the hand that regular handwraps will. I'd stay with regulars wraps for support.

That company does make a 98" handwrap that might be easier for her to work with. You just might want to supplement with a little tape.
