I agree with you about McDojo Tattoo's & that someone thinking of having a tattoo needs to think long & hard about their choice as it's with them for the rest of their lives (unless your into lazers & loads of cash), but were all adults so we respect each other for their individual choices (life would be boring otherwise without people like bri-thai.... he he).

    Respect, Honor & Peace.

Triangle choke isn't just BJJ,it is also part of submission wrestling.

What makes you think I do not know what I am getting myself into bud? I love my martial arts, and study Muay Thai, Submission Wrestling and Pankration.I train 6 x a week and fight full contact,so does it not make sense for me to want fighting tattoos whether they are muay thai or submission wrestling techniques (triangle choke)?

My whole life is dedicated to the martial arts.

I have done 12 yrs.of Goju Ryu Karate and now 5 yrs.of Pankration.

i guess i was a little dumb. i guess you would be right if someone has spent alot of their years and effort in muay thai. i still think he should be a little more self-consious of what he is doing. if he is then great. if not then mabye two fighters on his body is not a good choice right now. and then he is also talking about getting Bjj tattoos like a triangle choke. it just sounds to me that he doesn't know what he is getting himself into.

and i said in jap writing because most people think it looks better then writin in english

p.s. and for the tattoos i gave him two great choices to choose from.

people who don't know anything about grappling may mistake that for an oral sex position with two homos involved.

Picture Looks good. where would you put it (eg arm, back stomach etc). Also, unless you are actually a champ you may tnot want to include that part

Maybe you should just spend the time, money, and energy you are putting into this quest for self-mutilation into your training. Then maybe you'll have something really cool to show for it later.

to be honest, putting tats of people doing bjj moves and whatnot on ur body seems to me like u really want people to know u train and want to show this off. it looks more like u are trying to look tough than represent ur art with respect. thats just my view though. thats how i would react if i was to see someone with tats of people putting others in armbars and whatnot.

I guess in away I can see that but to me it's not for showing off or about looking tough it's about what I'm proud of.I know I am learning an art that is not bs like most traditional asian arts also it represents who I am, a person who likes to compete.

There may be some people who would get it just to look tough and to show off but not everyone gets tatts for same reason at least not with me though.
Infact I rarely show my tatts because it's more of a personal thing for me.To me a tattoo is a personal thing and a form of expression to oneself more then anything.

i know u may not be getting the tat for reasons i mentioned, but thats just how it would look to me if i saw that tat on someone.
how bout like a school tatoo? ive seen people with like the gracie triangle emblem and the name of their instructor as tats, those are cool and dont give off the same vibe that people actually fighting as a tatoo would. although its up to u, im not really trying to tell u what to do. u should get whatever u want.

also , traditional martial arts arent bs. i think any training is better than not having trained at all. they just have different goals. alotta people put down karate for example, but the fact is u would be much better off with karate than no training at all. sure karate may not turn u into a killing machine, but then again that was never the goal of karate. all martial arts have some kinda goal, people shouldnt put down an art just because the their goal isnt the same as a certain martial art.
