Nice. Also a fan of the maglite, allthough a little different.

yeah i actually started with a pocket stick, then it became the mini mag light and it graduated to the tac lite.

Cool, I play with little sticks too. Does that tac light have the toothy ring on the end? Like a meat tenderizer? Hmmm, tender...

                      Where's that BBQ thread?

The street doesn't necesarily mean weapons in a civilised country.

No Bri it doesnt, but unlike some countries that disallow weapons, America's politicians trust and respect its citizens enough to allow us the RIGHT to carry weapons. And ANYONE serious about self defense should have weapons and the training to use them.

Since any fight outside a ring has the likelyhood of including at least one armed participant, if you study martial arts you should be prepared for this fact.
The ONLY way to learn to defend against a weapon is to learn to use the weapon yourself so that you understand its manner of use and strengths and weaknesses of the weapon.

i see that your British attitude is in full force today though, implying that america isnt civilised but your precious British lands are....why dont you tell us how many assaults in england where ANYTHING you use as a weapon to defend yourself is illegal include weapon attacks?....HMMMM? quite a few eh?
i seem to remember a MMA guy who was stabbed in a bar fight several months ago in England....but you civilised blokes dont carry weapons right? this from the land that armed the police with machine guns after taking the pocket knife away...very civilised nation bud. really though martial arts planet is perfect for the british weapons are bad attitude, this is America though and we can and do carry weapons, if you wanna start this whining again please take it to the second amendment thread where it belongs...fact is many assaults do include a weapon or a threat of a weapon...

If the law allows you to carry a weapon for self defense and you choose not to do so then you are betting your life on the morality of your attacker(s). good people wont try to kill or injure you for amusement or money, however the world has plenty of people who will injure or kill you for fun or a few dollars...but you expect them to be honorable and fight fair? So since the British people are disarmed why do your police need bus loads of mp-5 toting body armored storm troopers at nearly every intersection and cameras watching every square inch of the country outside your homes? perhaps because there are bad people everywhere who carry weapons?
