I'm not really concerned about my own well being, I live pretty safely and have never really felt in that much danger, but heck, why not learn more about avoiding conflict all together, becuase a martial artist isnt a guy who just gets in fights and kicks ass and the time.

J-Luck, you train with Tim Burrill? IVE BEEN WANTING TO GO BACK THERE!!!! UGH, I went there once with my boys and they keep bitching out and soon im gunna skip class and go up myself on a tuesday, for the no-gi class. I really liked it over there, Tim is a really nice instructor.

I currently train BJJ/MT with Mat Santos (primarily BJJ). I also train Kung Fu in the back yard of some random guy in Sicuate. Its a shame I have to drive for 40 minutes to do kungfu/bjj, because there are no good martial arts places around me. It took me a long time to find a relitively close grappling place, and REALLY long to find a halfway legit traditional place.

Yea lol. Tim is famous in the U.S. he's one of the top instructors in New England, and I'd say one of the better ones in the U.S. considering his instrutor is Carlos Machdado. Yea, man, I go Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri...all at the evening classes, and sat in the 11:00-1:00 open mat. It's cool. Hope to see you man. And Tim is Mat Santos' instructor, so why not learn it from the source! lol.

        1) Tim is mostly Gi
        2) Santos is a bit closer

Though I like Tim, and everyone talks about his crazy stuff, I hear a lot about his half gaurd stuff from a lot of people.

Either way I'll be there on a tues ASAP, I miss that place and I may join Tim's for a month over the summer or something.

When I go you'll know, I'm the 125 pound white kid who hardly uses anything but juji gatame.

That's cool. Yea, I'm not fully into the whole gi thing, but he does have some non-gi classes, and I mean, he's one of the best in New England, and Definitly the best in RI, so I'm happy. though I'm new to it, I love Bjj... I think it compliments wrestling immensely, or maybe the other way around. Oh, where does Santos train people? you mean his location is closer?

Yeah I live in Kingston so Cranston is closer than North Prov. for me by a little while. He runs the establishment off of exit 16, on Wellington Ave.

I'm going to be swinging by there on a tuesday ASAP, so I'll see ya eventually.
