Dude you just reminded me of an event that I was there to see.

My old buddy "Boots" back in basic. He was the good guy, modest and reserved mostly until he was drinking the spirits. He held a 2 dan in some style of karatedo and could kick high and hard. He was talking the game and trying to convince us how "bad" he could be.

And then pissed his pants when some idiot discharged a gun by accident...

It was funny. I suppose you had to be there but the timing was perfect.

That's been my experience also - Or at least that how loudly someone talks bears no relation at all to what he'll actually do.
It's one of the reasons I've liked sport MA's - eventually everyone has to stand up and take the hits.
