Don't take that as an insult. Simply look at the bulk of what you write, and then weigh it as to how much its meant to help other people's development. You've proven that you're not here to discuss martial arts. I actually agreed with something you've written concerning this topic despite our past. Its too bad that there are so many Toy R Us kids here who don't want to grow up.
I believe that this site would be a lot better if members were required to discuss martial arts and not come here to sob about their terminally ill women, discuss what makes beer better, or who 50 Cent could beat in a fight. That's my opinion.
But then again, I'm just a member, not a mod. And its been made very clear that even though I've been consistent with contributions and a loyal forum member, only a select few have opinions that matter here.

[QUOTE=Mike Brewer;263855]Guys,
For the record, I not only appreciate but try to openly recognize positive and constructive contributors to the forums. Uke, I love discussing boxing with you (and politics when you stay on topic) because you're smart and generally well informed - especially about boxing! Tanto has, however contrary to your suggestions, contributed more than his share over the years. He's given me some great training ideas, and he's been an inspiration to me (and most assuredly others) through his posts publicly and privately.
I appreciate that Mike Brewer. I'm not saying that no one contributes here. I am saying that its a small percentage that has in the last year or two. This site has become the verbal sparring grounds for people with too much idle time on their hands. If you look at 98% of the posts that I start here, there are no insults, put downs or personal attacks involved. I've been sucked into busting balls now and then after taking a ridiculous amount of nonsense from people who I had not offended or even been rude to. The posts are still here and you can see the progression.
You, Mike Brewer, from some things you've written in the past have earned my respect because what you wrote then was not only true, but it clearly had no hidden agenda to push. I'm happy that you enjoy our boxing dialogue, but my boxing knowledge is nothing compared to what I’ve learned from the Professor. The unfortunate thing is that I don't go into depth about my own martial arts like arnis, jujitsu, urban combatives, karate, etc because there isn't a level of conversation here that warrants it. I could easily start a thread just about the dimensions in my system, and it would be an in depth and technical thread filled with great info about the practical approach and application of street tactics. But who would reply? Maybe IPON, because I know he's from an affiliated school and a few others, but the rest would be me having to justify an already prestigious system and school to a bunch of kids here who have less than 2 years of solid training. Its ridiculous.
Everyone has a right to have a voice, but if some are allowed to run unchecked after all the nonsense and rhetoric that they create, then no one should be banned ever. But it became clear once Boarspear was banned that "banning" itself is reserved for when mods feel personally offended or irritated, not when others endure the same if not worse actions that you banned Boarspear for. I just got a warning myself for a post above which I felt was pretty mellow.
Go figure.

PS Don't worry about Boarspear. He's started a CMA following on another site and it seems to be going great. Looks like here he was going at it from a purest approach, On the other site he's writing about Taiji as it pertains to self defense. What's funny is that he should have done this a long time ago, but he felt put off by the negative reception that CMA received here, so he only discussed combatives.
The man must have done something right to have topics started by forum members calling for his return! Dude has a lot of knowledge, and its this site's loss.
A disagreement about politics and propaganda and procedure is a lot more palatable than the being cyber stalked by a grown ass man who has so much free time that he can linger around to make insults on every topic you write on. At least the three "P's" have substance.
Oh well.

I think it's disgusting that jumanji gets away with quoting you and changing your quoted name as pUKE, which is one reason why I started doing it to him.
However....

If it were down to me, I'd ban you for that.

Yes... Your ego is quite large and your opinion means very little.
You might just check that ego here instead of someplace you can actually get your ass kicked for saying the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time.
