Frankly I think you're fucking hilarious.

You start a thread in a forum, against what that forum is for.

Your thread was a insult to anyone who takes SD seriously.

Then you cry because people have "thrown personal insults at you".
I could care less about insults. It's the lack of any thoughtful replies or counter-points ON THE SUBJECT I'm concerned about.
This was never a thread that had seriousness equated to it before it even started.

    Why try now?

Now you're talking shit to a guy who has actually "lacerated someone" with a knife.

He just doesn't brag because he's not a high school shithead.
A guy who calls himself Tanto and poses with homemade knives and doesn't brag about cutting someone is almost as unbelievable as he actually cut someone other than himself.
There are many, many serious threads that are very informative that I myself have started on this forum.

Go look them up it'll be fun.

Or are you too lazy, because it seems your major failing is laziness.

You'd rather put something down than try it.

Course you could and probably are either a resident troll, or one of the ass clowns from Talkshito.

Either way here's my contribution to your thread............

    .....................
Once again, this had nothing to do with the subject. Feel free to enlighten me on the subject, I highly doubt I can't learn something from someone on here. Why the **** should I take SD half as serious as you seem to? Why?

And if I do have a failing it is that I'm a perfectionist.

    If I have a failing.

    Which I don't.

You kill me "kid"! I think some folks here take themselves a little too seriously... I'm not one of them.

And yes... I've cut myself. I have scars on my scars... All for the FUN of it!

I'd offer that the "wink" in your thread title is BIG clue to poking at the RBMA crowd here.

      Good job!

Actually I can't get the smilies to work. I click on them but they don't seem to like me either.

So how is RBMA different than other MAs?

          • C'mon guys? He's frickin hysterical! laugh a little?

I think of BJJ as "girl Judo"... Clearly RBMA has a place in preventing domestic violence?

I've tried to teach the predator mindset to my daughters...

Real SELF DEFENSE is more about changing some one's MIND than killing them.

And being "reasonable" to a jury of your so called peers.

Reality means laughing from time to time, enjoying the freedom we so value.

You can't even spell slaughter without "laughter"...

You are a fool, I get that.
A wise man learns more from a fool than a fool from a wise man.
You obviously know nothing of history and have led a very sheltered life.
This part made me LOLSHIPMP (laugh so hard I peed my pants)

I know of many people in my life who have been attacked.
                1. case one, my aunt who live alone had two men break into her home one night. My Dad had trained her in fire arms and had helped her purchase a gun. After firing two shots the guys tumbled backwards out of the house and ran off. (unfortunately adrenal response led to her missing with both shots, although not by much so it appears the time they spent in the range was worthwhile.

                2. My Girlfriends Aunt lived in a secured building. A man got in and severely beat her. She had no training and her recovery took a long time. She also got a big settlement from the apartment complex for failure to protect her.

                3. In the town 7 miles from where I live, in a park I have been in, a guy murdered a lady that was sitting on a park bench working on her laptop. He did not know her and chose her at random.

                4. I had a man show up with a gun to my school. De-escalation worked and I was able to convince the guy to leave.

                5. A friend of mine was attacked in a parking lot. He is a skilled fighter and actually handled the guys fairly easily, But he did it while wearing a knee brace as he had had surgery on it. When the police showed up, they laughed and said someone had called about a fight in a parking lot so they hurried but if they had known it was him they would have gone around the block a few times. I believe the guys had warrants and were arrested.

                6. A student of mine who is an immigrant to this country ended up with a guy pulling a knife on him. His response sent the guy flying and he landed on a table. He then quickly felt the area.

                7. A person I worked with was kidnapped in an express kidnapping in mexico city. She was able to convince them that she had children and was a single mother. They robbed her but then released her. She didn't have any training though.

Now looking at the world, There are several places where defensive skills could prove very handy.

The Kid from Harry Potter movies was killed by getting knifed in England

Alex Gong was killed in a Car Jacking in California

A person on this board was attacked by a gang and used his knife skills to get out in one piece in Texas I believe.
These are the reasons I took self defense training in the first place.

                Fear.

A lot of things can and should be avoided, However sometimes you are in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you are going to train, then one should do it for effectiveness as well as enjoyment.

While I train because it's fun and I enjoy improving and pushing myself to do things people tell me can't be done, I know that there are still high probabilities that I could be seriously injured or Killed by a weapon wielding attacker.
I'll get back to this one.
As I believe people are responsible for their own lives being an objectivist. I do not think it is wise to leave your safety solely in the hands of other people. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family.

For Example, I know when I was Younger I was probably 15 at the time and an older guy tried to grab me. My father prevented him from doing so with a quick rush, where he pushed they guy through the door and away from me, the guy reached up to take off his glasses as he was preparing to escalate. My farther kicked him in the groin. ( my dad was in his 50's at that point) the guy put his glasses on and decided against fighting.

If someone chooses to be at the mercy of others that is a personal choice but it is not logical. Stable countries have become unstable all over the world which has resulted in regular people being put in danger of criminal and thugs.

There is no country that is immune from this and no person can fully ensure that at some point they may not fall victim. Women are especially prone to attacks throughout the world.

So I thank you for your opinion, and if you choose to remain ignorant on self defense and rely on the good graces of the other people on this planet that is fine. But realize that every animal in nature has it's own tactics to survive. If you choose not to maximize your defenses that is fine as part of self defense is simply not appearing the victim. So we always need people such as yourself who will be easier targets to pick on.
I am the last person you want to mess with, trust me on this. But I digress.

I know that there are still high probabilities that I could be seriously injured or Killed by a weapon wielding attacker.
                OK, now we're getting somewhere.

So what are the chances you will be seriously injured, let alone killed by someone? Hmmmm? Higher than oh, having a heart attack? Even close maybe? Show me some numbers, please. Because this is complete utter bullshit, and I'm calling you on it. I know you're not used to it, but before you ban me for it, humour me. Show me one statistic not pulled from your ass.

SHOW ME THE PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN KILLED BY A WEAPON WIELDING ATTACKER!!!

so even in Africa you're dead wrong.
