Police allege woman bound, killed husband.

LONG BEACH — A woman accused of killing her husband told detectives that she did not know why adhesives were found on his body during an autopsy, according to a taped interview played in court Thursday.

Police alleged Nancy Larios, 56, killed Luis Larios, a teacher at Banning High School in Wilmington, for financial gain by binding him to a chair with duct tape, stabbing him in the eye with a pair of scissors and pushing him down a flight of stairs.

Nancy Larios, who is on trial for first-degree murder, has pleaded innocent and maintains that she woke up to find his body at the foot of the stairs of their San Pedro duplex in August 2004.

Her interview was played on the third day of trial, which also featured the couple's friends who say that Nancy Larios was seeking a dissolution of marriage from her husband and was upset that she was not included in Luis Larios' financial matters.

The most dramatic parts of the trial came from taped audio interviews between detectives and Nancy Larios before she was arrested on Dec. 8.

On the Sept. 2, 2004, interview, she told police that her husband might have had too much to drink and fell down the stairs as he was carrying a chair, trash and scissors.

A short while later, she said, she woke up to use the bathroom and found her husband's body downstairs and scissors pushed into his right eye. She said she pulled out the scissors, bandaged his eye and removed his clothes covered with blood and vomit.

She cleaned him to prepare him for a priest she called, Nancy Larios said. After calling twice for a priest and the priest did not come, Larios dialed 911.

When detectives asked why was there duct tape on Luis Larios' body, T-shirt and chair, an agitated Nancy Larios repeatedly said no and said she was unaware of the tape.

"I don't know where you're getting this tape story," she said.

She explained to police that the couple used duct tape for household purposes around the San Pedro house they were remodeling, sometimes using duct tape to hang a sheet on windows because she had no curtains.

After testimony ended Thursday, Markus said Nancy Larios had stood to gain more than $1 million from Luis Larios' death, including annuities and a $425,000 life insurance policy.

The guy is a BB in Tang Soo do and never hit a woman in his life, but he wakes to his girlfriend mounting him and striking him in his face repeatedly, accusing him of saying bad words in his sleep. By his own account, he likes "strong Women", but how strong is too strong?

How funny would it be if i made jokes about domestic violence aimed at women? Not at all.....see, you who make light (humor) out of violence, you make it impossible to raise a very important topic (of course, that is your intent-to make it hard, if not impossioble to raise the issue of female on male domestic violence........or is it just to attack me.....I dont give too craps if you attack me for daring to raise the issues of female violence, but my goal is to support both male and female victims of domestic abuse. reading more books about the history of criminal justice in this country and the more i read, the more I realize that justice in this country is far more about revenge than about justice, more about public relations and catching any criminal, not necessarily the one who did the crime........

the book is called [b]"Actual Innocence"[/], written by Scheck, Neufeld, & dwyer ......and it is about false convictions throughout this country and how easy and common they are (and most likely they are about putting men in jail for crimes they did not do and the hysteria that surrounds the need to put someone in jail, anyone........

the other book I am reading is called "That Bastard on the Couch" which is another good read.....the title is at first a disapointing one, but its a companion book is called "that bitch on the couch" which does give it some balance, even if it is somewhat inappropriate for some younger audiences......the bastard on the couch book is a series of articles written by men telling their stories (often responding to the Bitches on the couch-Some of these are the men in relationships with the women from the Bitches book)

i know, men telling their stories is wrong and bad.....but you can just ignore them, right? as we eagerly ignore and deny the stories of men the world over.......these stories by men are interesting despite their lack of riased consciousness (to their own situations, not that of their women). In fact, these guys are incredibly aware of and sensitive to feminist issues, but are oblious, as society teaches them, to their own needs and issues.......

If your woman starts yelling at you for no reason and I mean no rational reason, give her a chance to justify herself (she may or maynot) and tell her to shut the hell up.

Show us your statistics on the suicide rates, Boston. You've made a claim. Now back it up. I've read that women have depression rates four times that of men. That's not laughable, just some stats that may make your claim seem less likely.

I would like to hear why you all think that men choose to perpetrate violence. I also would like to hear what you all think can be done to stop men from choosing to use violence against men, women, and children.

How about a simple stop people from using violence against people? We're supposed to be going for equality, so why only focus on the men side of things?

I think all women should do a some sort of bare minimum training in self defence (if not martial arts). Then, if a guy gets violent toward them, they will know how to handle themselves, and even if he is bigger and stronger, the woman should be able to get a few good shots in (sorry guys - this is only to those who would do us harm - lol) before making a run for it, so the guy will think twice about ever assaulting a female again ...

The real trick though is to teach women to have enough self respect, and self reliance not to date a guy who is violent toward them in the first place ...
