In order to experience true peace you must first overcome true hardship.

I like smeg-ma chips.

I swear Dean sounded like the MachoMan for a while there. I was starting to think that he was going to do an elbow drop on Kerry. Ok here is a real question. Out of all the nominees including Bush who would win in a cage tournament. Be honest now. I have my money on Clark. He looks like a badass.

one of the jobs of government are to protect its citizens
now let me ask you again
what has george bush done for you and your family?????
Instead of baiting, why don't you make the arguement that your looking for.
Since when are elected officials supposed to be in the business of providing for me and my family.
That's one of the major problems in this country today... everyone's looking for the government to provide for them.
It's really fuckin' sad.
Answer me this, what have you done for you and your family?
All of those less than meanful posts are null after one like this. Good post, straight forward and putting the responsibility where it belongs.

alright lets start with health care, education, higher education, job retoration, terrorism before 9/11, environment, patriot act - civil rights, and hmmmmmmm how about the iraqi war.
you guys can choose which one to start discussing and try not to get off subject there spanky ......i know how much you enjoy doing that
alright lets start with health care, education, higher education, job restoration, terrorism before 9/11, environment, patriot act - civil rights, and hmmmmmmm how about the iraqi war.
We have government health care, it's called medicare/medicaid and it's useless.
We also have general education, the government provides it, and it costs more every year for worse and worse results.
The government spends millions each year on 'job creation' programs that don't do anything except provide resume material at re-election time.
The only way a government can respond to things like 'Terrorism' is with things like 'The Patriot Act'.
The government spends billions on the environment and accomplishes nothing except resume material for politicians.
Governments spend all kinds of time and money on 'civil rights'... mostly figuring out how to violate them (see Patriot Act).
How about instead of wasting time being mad at whatever politician happens to be using the country as his personal pet project this year, we start reducing the ability of ALL the politicians to take our money and liberty and spend them on more government projects that don't work?
I do not understand why so many people want to surrender all the most important aspects of their lives to a bueracracy.
