There was a spiderman episode about that. Hulk had Spidey in a bear hug and was squeezing the life out of him, but then Spidey thought of Mary Jane and found the strength to break free and subdue him.
very romantic but very unlikely really even in comic book logic. bad writing if you ask me.

It seems that the guy you are talking about is very strong, knows what grappling is, and is trying to prevent from going to the ground. If he really is that strong try to do moves that target other areas of the body, I'd prefer the neck. Have you tried a flying triangle? And when you enter a clinch, have you ever tried unbalancing then going to a lateral drop? When you do the lateral drop it forces him to bend down, if you fail to throw him over, he will find himself in your guard, if you do throw him over, even better. Either way you enter grappling mode.
How about the dropping trip? I find that it works fairly well on fat boys. One of the keys to beating fat people is unbalancing. Just remember kuzushi kuzushi kuzushi!
i'm sorry to display my ignorance but i don't have much grappling vocabulary but i do have a grappling arsenal. but as for getting the neck he's gotten chubby (still a monster) that he almost does not have one.

I've had a funny (potentially deadly) situation with a sparring partner of mine. He's as huge as a tree trunk and i didn't know what in blazes I was thinking but i tried to surprise him with a whole nelson and work it from there. Guess what, he was so big my hands wouldn't touch! it ended up that he clipped my arms under his armpit and the fight went to the ground (badmove with a big guy on top of you). I tried to go for the throat but he just kept tucking in his chin. I ended up "cheating" by pinching a pressure point to make him let go.

some techniques are more anatomically correct than others i'd probably end up doing chin ups if i tried to weigh him down with a drop. You really got to see this guy to believe it. You have the right techniques in mind but it won't work with regards to his bulid. My martial superior will spar with anyone but that monster. It's just not done (at least in any honorable match). He'd be beatable only if ganged up on (still no guarantee) or if we use weapons. that's our assessment of him.

so what's a flying triangle a dropping trip (tai otoshi? or body drop) and kuzushi?

    but thanks Bjj...

        Jubaji...you're fat.

A dropping trip is when you are in the over/under clinch and you take one leg and reap the inside of the other guys leg.
Kuzushi is unbalancing. You know what a flying armbar is. Now just imagine a flying triangle choke.

895,402,300 people no longer like reading spiderman or hulk comics due to jubaji's explicit remark.

ah an illegal sacrifice throw. I got that. works in real life. though i never want to be in groundwork against a heavier more skilled monster.

is the triangle choke the same as the naked choke?

sorry we just used "unbalancing" as the term in judo.

bad spidey joke just bad. you'd think spidey would be creeped out with the hulk's package especially while in a bear hug. that's what gave him the adrenaline to escape.

I know the guy/monster Shuyun is talking about. I have seen one of our taller more agile friends try that technique on him (shuyun: si Kuya R.); he merely caught him and dropped him on the ground then stood over him pointing his elbow, as if to say "I can drop my elbow on your neck anytime now. Wanna go on?"

Even if we all ganged up on him, we would still be injured.

I know him too. Yes, even if we ganged up on him, we will get hurt. I fear him. He took one look at me during a spar and said, "I KEELL you, mon!" He was joking, of course, but I promised never to spar with him, ever again. He scares me!
