In the Gov all talk was suppressed not the public rally your talking about! And yes trade agreements are used as leverage not talking about embargos.
Look im not trying to insult the US just its gov. these things happen and US citzens i would imagine would hear little of it unless its a slow news week!Us misile defense program will rely on australian ground stations like pine gap which are already in place and we paid for mind you.So thats not what im saying. And the SAS staement was not meant to be a pissing contest its true thats why they are doing THE most dangerous tasks(Also to minimise US cassualties which will damage the chance of a president noone apparantly voted for in the first palce being reellected). The larger an organization the poorer the qaulity of training fact not just something i made up to annoy you.

Your absolutly right you spent all the money on misile defence i agree. But to bully a nation thats your ally is sad no matter who does it.Its like a protection racket in the mafia. On a different note i can see a shift away from satellite spying to the old fashioned method of feild operatives what do you think is the nature of the conflict is reversing?

"the Radical Islamic Groups have declared war on the United States, Isreal, and their allies."

from what i know the Koran, it states that a muslim can not harm women, children and non-combatants, and they can only retalate inorder "to protect the islamic faith"

They was a 15/16th centuary monk who came up with guidelines for war,
like war can only be declared between two consenting soverigns of the nations, you can not harm women and children etc.
I think the UN adapted these principles, does anyone know the monks name ?

Ha Ha, that's interesting... "they can only retaliate to protect their faith..." What the Hell!!! That leaves so much room for interpretation, and that's precisely why there are radical freaks in Islam. --- For instance, say that a Christian missionary has come to Iran, and he begins to preach about Jesus... all the Muslim has to say is, "I need to kill this guy because he is harming my faith by distracting other Muslims from the *true way*".

Im not bagging the us only.Australia with its involvement(interferance?) in indonesia and the solomon islands is just as guilty of neo imperialism as anyone else.I just think its interesting that government advisors saw a need for all high tech satelites an things like that and convinced their respective governments to not rely old cloak and dagger methods. Now its a new game and we need those things once again.

I agree. The statelite technology is not much good(Read useles) at doing what feild operatives do best.Small autonomous groups of terrorists are hard to track via sat. but are usefull in other applications as you stated.
What do you think of the rumours that Bin laden has been captured. But US gov. wants to hold of that info as their trump card for when the next ellection rolls around?

"Someone's terrorist is anothers freedom fighter"

The only thing I find messed up is how spain is now going to pull troops from Iraq after the attack, to me that shows fear and the terrorist have now won against spain. What did America do after we were attacked? We hunted the sobs responsbile not tuck our tails and run. The terrorist targeted spain, did their damage and recieved the response they wanted. Still a very sad situation in spain with that attack. May god bless their souls.

I think you misunderstand the reason spain pulled its troops back.A small country like them cant aford to have troops overseas if they are being attacked as they will have a lack of troops at home.Besides the interim council will be handing over to the iraqis in june anyway.

So granted they might be fighting for freedom but they arent directly fighting those who they should they are targeting the weak, because they themselves are weak.
Yes, but granted they do kill innocents and civilians, to them, their country, their 'cause' they are doing the right thing. Example look at Iraq, lots of people there see american's as terrorist where others see us as freedom fighters. And what better way for a terrorist to strike fear in people, target the unarmed and helpless.
