And I saw our Jimmy Pedro BOW before stepping off of the mat after winning his bronze. Was he bowing to the mat? They don't really show that side of olympic judo nor do they discuss it on TV. They do the bow to their opponent more like a nod. Funny. Just an observation. It looks like they are embarressed to bow to their opponent but not to the mat. I would think it would be the other way . Okay to a person ,if thats what you want. Especially if you are returning the custom, but to an inanimate object? Do they shake hands? I didn't notice.

Unfortunately Rousey Our Lightweight(according To The Press) Best Hope For A Gold In Judo Was Defeated Early.
On. Her Mother Was The First U.s. World Champion In Judo. Anne Marie (burns) Rousey. She Trained With John Holm And Diane Peirce Tudella, back In The 70's -80's.

        Greece Won A Gold .
I Think Our Best Hope Is Rhadi Ferguson. The Guy Trains With The 'grappleing Coach' Irwin. Ferguson Is Working On His P.h.d.plus He Is Probably 3 Times Stronger Than Most Other Athletes. But Hurt His Knee 11 Months Ago. They Say What His Name Means In Arabic ( On Website). Maybe He Is A Muslim. Very Scary Looking Guy!

Well the first one is of good stock, the second one of sane mind
Professional Judo team? He he, that's funny seeing that the name Kenamju means the opposite Ken-am-ju=Kennemer Amateur Jucoclub
But it is the best team in the Netherlands, the National coach it the trainer of this club
the brothers van der Geest are his sons

MArk Huizinga Screwed up and only got a bronze medal, Edith Bos managed to get Silver
Elco van der Geest ( one of the brothers I mentioned before) placed himself for the half finals

Plus a gold medal for swimmer van den Hoogeband and one for cyclist leontien van Moorsel

For an itty bitty country like the Netherlands not bad, don't you think?

Congratulations! Van Der Geest Beat The Japanese Champ With A Drop Shoulder Throw. I Will Want To See That One. Our Rahdi Ferguson Lost Unfortunately But He Had A Bad Knee. Did Your Guy Take The Gold Medal?

I Am Sorry To Say That My Predictions Of Olympic Defeat For The Americans Is Playing Out. It Looks As Though We Will Squeak By With A Bronze. Better Than Getting Skunked At Least We Placed.

in slightly over 2 hours we will know if Elco gets a medal and what color

BTW have you seen how many entrants Japan has in a lot of sports?
In Gymnastics I saw a lot of Japanese too
I thinks when it comes to sport, Japan might rule a lot of countries in numbers
Meaning the majority of japanese are into sports

In this playing field a bronze medal isn't something to be ashamed of
