I can vouche for the second part...

and as for the guy's friends making that assumption...you can't be too overly harsh on them. It seems to me an honest mistake, the guy took cycling classes, so they probably assumed he was gay.

LOL! No, I meant, they rode their bicycles together and did like five or six races. Always training.

Come to think of it, though, he did shave his legs...

Finally got around to doing more than just glancing at it. Mostly it just made me really sad-- that people actually believe this. I don't know if it's true for the rest of the world, but in my circle men and women both have a heck of a lot more depth to their relationships than he gives them credit for.

Its not that people believe in this, its what is being digested and observed.

I don't think his writing is the standard for all relationships. There are some outstanding women out there who are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. God bless em

Women who dress and act `modestly' conduct themselves in ways that shroud their sexuality in mystery. They live in a way that makes womanliness more a transcendent, implicit quality than a crude, explicit quality...It is a respect for this `power within' that once made it impossible for men to view women merely as sexual objects. I like that... Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!!! I'm glad somebody "got" it. I certainly don't agree with everything in her book, but I thought it was pretty eye-opening.

Tree-liz, you are coming across as a very honorable & classy woman. Very nice!

I guess that means you like nice guys...

Are you saying I'm a nice guy? (kidding Tom)

Actually, she comes across as a person that appreciates a genuine person more than a person that's pretending to be nice in order to accomplish some goal of self gratification...Most "nice" guys are just accomplished deceivers...

Since good liar is an oxymoron I try to choose words to accuratly reflect my meaning...

Didn't you start this thread asking for some pin-up gallery? Stick with your plan good or not at least you'll be consistent

I'd rather see pictures of these girls in fatigues posing behind a machine gun with muzzel flash! Now THAT would be HOT!
