Its not the dog it's the dumb azz owners that make the dog dangerous. My neighbor's basset hound has snapped on me more times than any pit, rott or akitta I have come across, stop lumping all based on the actions of a few, that is a dangerous path./

here is some anecdotal or as I like to call it "real world" experiance for you Jubaji.



me washing the rescued pitbull "June" I posted about earlier. She is happy in her new home with rescued Bassethound Elvis. I cant say enough about this dog, gentle temperment, smart as a tack, just wants to be around people and make them happy. People like Jubajo who get their opinions from the media would have you believe a "Killer" lurks inside her just waiting to snap at any moment. From what I have seen in 15+ years of living with and around these dogs is that nothing is further from the truth. But as we all know the media is a powerful tool, especially for those with limited experiance.
Tell you what JUbaji, you believe the media, and I will continue to believe what I have learned from myself, other people and most importantly the dogs.
I could post about 4 other pitbulls and there owners but I doubt it would do any good with your mentality Jubaji, they run the gambit from couples with kids, to retirees. But I guess they all have an image problem and feel the need to have a "tough" looking dog right Jubaji?

I still think the specific breed has less to do with the problem than the kind of asshats that are drawn to pitbulls. Most of the "morons" that want pitbulls for a pet are borderline criminal or straight up tweakers that want the macho image of badassedness that fits the profile. They wear dark sunglasses, backward ball caps, sleeveless t-shirts and have the barbedwire tattoos and haircuts to intimidate "normal" folks...

Just wouldn't be the same with a lhaso apso or a poodle now would it?
