See that! Take note, slimey. I useta think BWG was a brain-damaged moron and now; correct spelling, proper syntax and grammar, well thought out socially-adapted concepts and not only did he get the girl, but more importantly, even I think more highly of him!

Why don't gals work more on inner beauty?

                    Seriously.

I've tried dating gals whom I thought were average-to-decent looking with the focus on getting to appreciate whom they were as people...

And then they start making snide comments about other women or making crude comments about others while in public is plane annoying and reflects a lack of inner beauty or respect.

Lastly, why do women stay with men whom beat them or worse, start fights/arguments with these men when they know that the guy will fight back?

Is it their way of controlling pain?

may have something to do with the fact that most people dont place any importance on that. i think a lot of women may feel that their looks are the only thing they will ever be judged on anyway, and many of them have gotten used to relying on their looks only instead of other things.

There's a saying that if you treat a woman like dirt she'll stick to you like mud :-/. Whether that holds any validity, who knows?

Garland - Are you suggesting that women whom stay with men who beat them have neurosis regarding the need to be loved despite the cost of physical and emotional beatings? Can such women cure themselves without the help of a professional?

The solution seems simple to those of us without the disorder, but then again we're not living in that persons world with their mind. As a person without that disorder and whose not training to be a psychiatrist, do you avoid addressing the issue with that person and let them cope or what?

BJJ Expertise - She's got a beautiful voice! Women whom are true vocalists have alot of inner beauty and subsequently, outter beauty too...I've never seen or met an ugly vocalist, but I think that my perception of a woman's beauty is affected by other aspects of her that are beautiful too. I knew a gal in highschool who was barely so-so in the looks department, but she had a clear, beautiful and expressive singing voice that made you change your mind. Damn.

That's Sarah Brightman, the wife of Andrew Lloyd Webber and who's all the music of Phantom of The Opera was written for. I agree with you Tom, she's got such an amazing voice and the music she sings is very moving . One of my favorite songs by her:
