My stepson just tried out for Hell's Kitchen this week. He caught the bus to Manhattan and back. He made it past the first round.

Spent the day at a beautiful utopian lake/camp ground standing behind a charcoal grill all day. My only break was to take a rowboat out on the lake for an nice cruise. Love the weekend.

I took a trail walk during sunset and watched the sky change colors. Very meditative.

I asked a friend to get dinner, and she told me to come over and she'd cook for me. I brought really good white wine. My friend said I'm the only person who tries to calculate while drunk--if a bottle is 750 ml, and we each had half, how many ounces is that? I even pulled out her measuring cups to estimate. I think we calculated that we'd each had roughly 3 cups of wine.
