      • Who cares. Tree seems like someone who legitimately cares about the progress of humanity, atleast in the sense of basic education. She's gonna try to make the world a better place, one child at a time.

        • I just finished marinating 10 T Bone steaks for my labor day bar b Q. I'll share the receipe.

First poke tiny holes on both sides of the steak with a fork or knife. Then sprinkle meat tenderizer on both sides of the steak, followed with black pepper, accent, season all, garlic powder and onion power. Smother both sides in your favorite bar b q sauce, cover in aluminum foil and let it set in the fridge for 24 hours. Light your charcoal grill and enjoy.

Be sure to have some cold beer handy.

I was a docent for the botanical gardens and I'm an herbalist, but those are side projects. My main job was at the public access tv station workin' the front desk, and I hated it.

LOL! It's more like trying to survive in a too-crowded classroom with kids throwing wadded up paper and paper airplanes, knocking over chairs, playing with their cell phones and mp3 players, writing notes, doing homework from other classes, hitting each other, screaming and generally refusing to do any type of work at all. If I could just find a way to engage them so we wouldn't have to deal with endless power struggles all year long... I did bring in improv comedians one day to help teach subplot, parallel episode, etc. but even for that not everyone filled out their graphic organizers... *sigh*

I finished moving, thank God. Way too much activity in my old 'hood.

I know what you mean. I've heard 100's of stories but this day and age, teachers have taken the role of parenting.

I prefer to do it with Soy sauce Worcestershire and some Garlic salt (not powder) then I slam the beer and grill the steaks over a hot flame till they are seared. Serve with some crab and bread crumb stuffed baby portabelloo's and you are good to go.

                    1/4 crab meat
                    20 baby portabello mushrooms
                    1 cup bread crumbs
                    1 egg
                    1 cup mozzarella

                    Cut stumps off mushrooms
mix bread crumbs egg and 1/2 cup cheese in bowl
                    Stuff mushrooms with mix
sprinkle other cup cheese on mushroom caps

Baked at 375 for 20 minutes or until cheese is really melty
let stand for 5 minutes to cool
                    Nosh away.

                      • Big weekend planned but I don't think I have enough time to do everything. I wish monday were a holiday. My weekend highlights, dinner out tonight, teaching 4 private lessons, 1 hour massage appt on sunday, stock up on fruit, Cut the grass and find some time to practice striking on the heavy bag and wave master. The rest is just my usual chores.

                        What's on tap with you?

                        • I still have to see the Bourne movie and of course UFC and this really hot guy convinced me that if I watch football with him, I will like it so that's on too...

Today I'm entering grades which they told us Wednesday were due on Friday... good thing I had to take the day off today anyway for an appointment. So I'm busy with that. Entering lots of zeroes.

I'm learning that classroom management isn't my strong point. *sigh*

                            I'm getting better, though!

Really? I imagined you as the teacher who punishes kids without impunity. jk
