Sometimes, its not much different than the bar scene. I'm not saying this is the truth for everyone - you'll either meet women whom are looking for a very, very specific man that matches her ethnicity, socio-economic background and personality (and this is just being human, since nature is lazy)

you'll meet the same gal who hangs out at the same bar you go to, realizing this when you see her dressed a bit more conservatively.

After about 15 or twenty minutes tell here it was nice talking to her but you came here with with friends and would it be OK, if you'd give me your number, I like to "take the time to get to know you better" If she smiles and responds positively your in. If not, you've only invested 15 or 20 minutes and you can move on.
