p.s. i move to have the next user who makes a poll or thread asking what the "best form" or a "blah vs. blah" thread have his name changed to WhitebeltWanker1. and the numbers shall rise as more idiots make the mistake, so they won't have personalized names. instead they shall be statistics of shame.

Jun Fan Gung Fu was the precursor to JKD, before it was de-emphasised as being just another interpretation of classical martial art. It, basicly, combines aspects of western boxing, kickboxing, wing chun, fencing, and several other sources...but is, yet again, just another art.
JKD is the way of fighting. Everybody who yearns to exceed the boundaries of classical, traditional, or even ORGANISED martial arts and does so by collecting what works for them and discarding what doesn't after aquiring the skill (not giving up before learning), in a sense, practices in part JKD concept and philosophy.
MMA is a form of JKD, but, yet again, in that it lacks all aspects of combat, it isn't complete...nothing is, which is why, in part (yet again, my opinion) JKD is progressive and infinite. (just as human ingenuitity has the CAPABILITY of being infinite...I know it's practicly contradictory to what many people tell themselves daily, about the only infinite thing being human stupidity, don't sell yourselves short, be creative and explore, live without boundaries.) JKD, in a way, existed before Bruce Lee, he simply clarified and put down on paper the most TANGIBLE basic form of human ambition and competetive drive, the will to survive and the natural tendencies to learn and break new ground to come up with a competitive edge...Things that had been lost due to many traditional martial arts in the way of their compulsory MIS-Education of those that adhered to their styles and clung to their methodologies and THEIR way with all the fervor and false faith of a religious zealot. Sigung Bruce broke THE WALL.
Yet again, everybody who reads the Tao will have a different personal interpretation, but this is mine. It's just like reading any philosopher, be it economics and Adam Smith or Karl Marx for societal undrstandment, or reading Dosteyevsky for content, or Whitman or Basho for spiritual insight, none of these guys should be overlooked in any sector, concepts overlap.
Sigung Lee wasn't just talking about martial arts...he was talking about buisness, economics, learning and education, art, religion, he was talking about everything. Same can be said for every other philosopher...read Leaves of Grass, and instead of looking at it as a poem, look at it as a book on living life to the fullest...read Sun Tzu, or Musashi as a guide to buisness tactics, read Dali Llama on how to deal with education and politics...read the Kama Sutra illustrated...as anatomy and physiology one can utilize for any number of things. Get my drift...think outside the box, sucka.
damn, did he say take the red pill, or the blue pill...shit, I'll man-up and take em both, Whooo haaaaa.

Make up yer mind, did you post this before and realize it was boneheaded?, or do you stand by it, and think im just uninformed on the XMA's?
