    Hey,

A while ago i had a post talking about how i had an ulcer. well after much mroe pain anddropping a few more pounds I have learned that i do not have an ulcer. I took a regement of drugs for nothing and am still looking/feeling like sh*t. Recently its come to my attention that the root of my illness may be stress or anxiety related.

Is there any one out there (medical professional preferably) that can offer me advice on what to do about all this, becasue I am now in a vicous circle of not being able to eat, and feeling stress about being sick and loosing all the muscle that i worked so hard for.

    later.

This is a book you might want to check out to help you deal with the stress (It's helped me a lot):

You might find something on these sights to help with the physical problem:

eMedical is an online pharmacy in Australia providing you with easy access to your medication. Shop online now!

I know what it's like to have serious problems with the stomach. I used to have pain for hours every day and any amount of food would trigger it or make it worse. Fortunately, all I needed was a daily dose of buscopan for a week .

One more thing. You might like to try eating more fruit in place of other food. It's very easily digested and provides a lot of energy and nutrition. Just try it and see if it works. When I had my problems, I found that fruit was the only food that did not aggravate my stomach.
    Good luck with it all.

Hey guy, my girlfriend works in the medical field and can tell you something - I'll let her type:

First, see a GI specialist. I wonder why they misdiagnosed ulcer, since it can be diagnosed easily with a simple blood test. Anyway, given your sick tummy, those meds may have only increased the irritation. Go to the GI specialist. Warning, they will probably want to look in a place you don't want anyone there! But really it's the only way to properly diagnose your problem. I would do this immediately, as problems such as colitis have serious total-body health effects. You may have some funky allergy such as gluten in wheat, but since you think it's stress, that's probably it. As for food, I would suggest drinking Ensure, it's very tasty and dairy-free, and you can get many flavors, it has protein that you need. In addition, you may want to take protein shakes (non-dairy) and not bars, if you do. The bars have glycerol which can irritate your tummy. Start your diet at ground zero and don't cheat, cut out all caffeine and dairy. especially for anxiety, cut out the caffeine. Start with easy foods like rice, bread, fruits. Gradually add back a food item at a time, keep a diary of what bothers your stomach, and when it is having an episode, go back to your easy foods.
Make sure you keep some nutrition coming into your body (shakes, etc), that is why you feel like crap. Increase your water intake as well, as it will dilute out what is bothering your stomach. Also don't be afraid to get anti-anxiety medication, but your stomach will not be cured. go to a specialist, and good luck! i know how you feel!

thank you very much for all yoru advice. I seem to be able to consume some fruit now, and am getting a solid 1500 cal a day minimum, some days are better then others. but it seems i just woke up one day and it was half as bad as the day before, I did a multitude of tests and came up with nothing, Half of me thinsk its stress and half is sure its something more real, casue the pain i am feeling is very real! Oh well things seem to be getting better, especially after stopping the antibiotic reginem that the DR.'s had me on. Alls well i guess. You guys gave me real good support, and I thank you all. My wieght loss has become weight gain of a few pounds, bringing me within striking distance of 15 pounds left to gain before I am what I was before. Its cool cause I am going out to sparr with my buddies, so i'll check back with you guys later!
