This is exactly how Martin Lawrence almost died. To each his own I guess, but I would personally rather have jaws chew on my balls than follow the advice in this thread.

Not if you were cutting for an important comp.

Yes, Martin Lawrence the comedien. Dropping that amount of weight in that little time is very unsafe...not to mention it would leave you so weak that you might as well not bother competing.

Well, there's a heck of a source! Don't suppose any additional substances in his system were at work?

Exaggeration? Have you tried it? Do you understand how the human body works? Obviously not. I am an advocate for edifying oneself on a subject before jumping to outlandish conclusions....but it seems I am alone in this. There is no need for your condescending remarks... after all no one enjoys being patronized by such uncouth, misinformed individuals such as yourself.

                        Yup.

                        About 10 - 15 times a year for 5+ years.

                        Next?

How much weight? How much time did you take to lose the weight? You lost the weight according to the ridiculous methods in this thread?

10-15 pounds each time, usually in two weeks or less.

Please clarify as to what you consider "ridiculous"

Pretty much all of the advice that is in this thread is ridiculous. If you have to employ these techniques to make a weigh in, it is due to poor diet, poor training, and poor planning. A serious athlete knows better. Here is a link. http://www.iahsaa.org/wu98-1.htma Find one study that suggests that the aforementioned weight loss techniques are safe and beneficial to athletic performance. I can find thousands that expound how damaging this kind of weight loss can be to an athlete. Find some attestation, and I will gladly read it.... just find any kind of substantiation if you want to deliberate. Until then, I don't have anything else to impart on this subject.

Yes, yes. I'm sure all of your experience reading books tells you just that.
