  • Are you still recovering if you stay in bed, awake ?

Okay, sometimes I just can`t get to sleep, and I end up getting 4-5 hours of sleep, today I only got 2 hours of sleep. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. and I tried to sleep in more but I couldn`t get back to sleep. And now everytime I go to bed at like maybe 11 p.m. or 12 midnight and ending up sleeping at 3:00 a.m.

So lets say it is maybe in the evening or daytime, you just stay in bed and relax. Do you still recover from the workouts that you do ? And any tips on catching up on your sleeping schedule ? (Like going to sleep no problem at 11:00 p.m. and always waking up at around 8:00 a.m. everyday) ?

You either need to STOP surfing internet porn or START. Either way it should help.

If you're not getting 6-8 hours of sleep every night, you'd better figure out why. That cannot be a good thing.

well, your a young guy, im sure youv noticed some "changes" in your body, new feelings, hair growing in places that it was not growing before .heh when kids get to be around 12,13,14. there sleep paterns start to change.

basicaly the average teenager gets less sleep then they need, your not being able to fall asleep is normal. kinda like your hormones give you jet lag.

as far as how to change this....just try to get into the habbit of going to bed every night at around 11:00pm and waking up at 8 pm the next day. the trick is not drastically changing the schedual, for example going to bed at 3 am saterday morning and waking up 3 pm saterday afternoon, that can realy screw your patern up.(that last part is my personal experience, mite not be true to your situation)

some things like watching tv right before you go to bed, or playing a stimulating video game or something right before bed can (possibly) make it harder for some people to get to sleep.
dont do any relativly stimulating activities before you go to sleep, for some people reading helps to relax them...

one thing is for sure, lack of sleep can be a big problem for an "active" person.

iv heard 8 hours is all you need to function normaly throughout the day.

personaly i would worry more about nutrition then sleep at your age.....thats just my feeling.

hope i was of some help.

          LoL

yeah thxs for the advice Kingston, I`m gonna do some testing to see if I can actually wake up by myself on my own demand. And lol, and the porn thing Szczepankiewicz, my god how I am addictive to looking at it, (it`s reasonable... ) Man one of these days, i`m gonna get one of my friends to freakn` join me with my MT or ****ing get in shape, their all game freaks, or not all they do is smoke weed and party. (which I don`t even like going to because it`s not worth it (at my age), IMHO) Thats probably another reason why for my motivation, I`m the only person interested in Martial Arts around here and theres no "good gyms" and instructors, Mike Miles for example. I am addicted to the net, I can get off but thats only when my friends call me, as they are busy playing their video games. The hell I tell myself stay on the damn net as there is nothing else to do, I mean like sh** even if we go outside all we ever end up is doing nothing or going over someone`s house, and seat on our asses playing more... MORE video games !!!

Go blind? How do you go blind by staying on the internet.

I have the same problem sometimes. I get to bed at 10 30, but then get to sleep at 12 00 . I've noticed a few possible reasons:
              1) To horny to get to sleep - solution; masturbate, and relieve that stress, cum all over the goddamn bed if you have to

              2) To many things on my mind - I get up, go out for a jog, jump rope, or any other activity that will help you relieve that stress, and get yourself tired

              3) To cold - make sure you have enough comforters

              4) To hot - Sleep naked if you have to

              5) Stacker 2 is too strong - if you're taking any dietary product, you may want to change the dose. Many weight loss pills will increase your energy, and will make you stay up if you take one after dinner

              6) Not sleepy - again, wear yoursefl out with physical activity

              7) Okay, so I cummed, but I still can't get to sleep - I like to sleep naked, because I just feel more relaxed. Even if I'm not horny. If you're that horny, than maybe you should go get a girl, or see a doctor

              8) If all else fails, see a doctor.

My own opinion, yes your body does recover from exercise while you are awake and lying in bed. It may not recover as well as if you were sleeping but if you can not sleep there isn't a whole heck of a lot you can really do. As far as catching up on your sleep your body will do that all on its own when it is damn well good and ready. One day you'll just all of a sudden sleep for 10 or 12 hours, maybe more. What has been happening to me lately is that I'll be in bed, feeling like I am awake the whole time when I am indeed sleeping. My wife will tell that I WAS sleeping because I was snoring all night (day for everybody else, I work midnights) and I'll swear that I was awake the whole time. Probably the best thing you can do would be to try to keep a set schedule as far as when you go to bed. Lay off the caffeine, that means soft drinks, coffee, tea, etc.

                        Good luck.

I agree, i usually get to sleep at ten, and wake up at 5:00 for my training. Unless its an off day, then I get to sleep in an hour. That's 7 to 8 hours, which should be sufficient, right? Wrong, I end up taking a nap in Physics, and sleep 12 hours on weekends. But, for some reason, I'm passing Physics with an 85!
