pretty sure ring magazine and ali both agree it was ernie shavers who was pound for pound the hardest hitting boxer in the ring , foreman was much more powerful than tyson so id say he would be second and as far as "natural punchers " hands down marciano ....the guy worked a 300lb heavy bag and broke a few arms in the ring

        O.K. O.K. O.K. (or is that...)

Maybe not the hardest, but..talking about timing and the moment(um) of it all...

I was watching a video w/ a violent friend of mine and..I think it was Jersey Joe Walcott hit this guy and he fell straight between his feet.

        -very awkwardly!

But, my vote would have to go to "Iron" Mike Tyson.

Didn't his amatuer career consist of one fight...one hit even!

I don't think we're giving Archie Moore enough respect.....
186-23-11 (131 ko's) The most KO's by any fighter in history! No one wanted to fight him, he was 39 before he got his shot at the title! Anyone who can finish 131 opponents is one HELL of a puncher! (He put Rocky on the canvas )

              bump

would probably go with foreman for the hardest hitter. THere was a lot more to tyson's reign than sheer brute power. He was an awesome technician with great timing. Foreman however., was just a monster puncher who dominated.

              Marciano up there too somewhere

Tyson was mostly technique and athleticism but when he got an opening, he punch sooooo hard knocking his opponent a few feet back and knockig them unconsious.
