You are most likely one of the escape prisoners from the DL. Or worse.

Why not ban yourself for life and never again touch a computer, or be involved in any Post again, until you learn to have more reasonable and edifying post.

So did I and my Kung Fu works very effectively.

Close enough. That troll certainly has some problems.

That's fine Ben. My mistake. As you can see, combat has a very specific meaning to me. It implies potentially life threatening. I know that's not your intent but I thought it was of the troll you were mentioned.

    Dabbling is not learning.

Then please don't take offense when most of the chunners here ignore your opinion.

Combat and hard sparing are two different things just as is ring fighting is. Combat should be avoided. If you are deliberately going out looking for fights then Freud would agree with me.

It's not just common sense but you got the point.

True, many people learning martial arts never fight and never want to fight. It's also true that the only real way to tell if what you have learned will work is to test it. The key word that I was referring to in my reply to Ben was combat. This is a little above the level of hard sparing or even fighting. The suggestion of engaging in combat is juvenile and hence, the the appropriate put-down.

The last time was when I stepped out of my car when there was a spot of road-rage happening. The main protagonist charged at me yelling "how would you like some of this too?" but stopped and let me talk him out of the original attack. He still felt he and his friends were in the right because, after all, the guy they were bashing had cut them off, but they did get into their own car and drive off.

And a belated Merry Christmas to you. Maybe if I return to Australia in the near future, maybe we can practice Chi Sau.
