I work with my Wing Tsun sifu. I studied TKD and Aikido several years ago, but Wing Tsun was a style I hadn't been exposed to. He (my friend/sifu) brought in some videos and said if I was interested he would teach me. I liked it and we started training on Saturdays for 2 hrs. After the first lesson, he asked if I wanted to train more often and I said yes.
Now we train 6 days a week. 1 hr (M-F) and 2 hrs. on Saturdays. I finished the Siu Nim Tau form after a month. I have primarily been focusing on my footwork for about the past 3 weeks. Learning Chin-Bo and Huen-Bo, I'll be learning the Plum Flower steps next for my footwork . We also mix in ground fighting (He also studied Gracie Jiu Jitsu) and we do some free sparring on Saturdays.

You train in Wing Tsun. Maybe thats the difference. Yours follows under Leung Ting's branch. I learn the more traditional style of Wing Chun under Ip Ching's branch. And of course, different Sifus have their different ways of teaching.Originally posted by Memnoch1207I work with my Wing Tsun sifu.
