MMA Sport fighting and Kung Fu combative, the real difference...

Do you ever fight and/or spar with said "boxers and MMA people?" I can talk to doctors all day, but it doesn't mean that I'll be able to perform open-heart surgery.



I'm not sure what this is supposed to prove. Either way, does this MMA club have a name?

Yes I have had them try some of their techniques on me and they came fast. But Kung Fu works great as I have said many times. Or at least it works great for me.

But The fact is hes claiming to be "experienced" enough to comment on other sports arts inability to keep up with kung fu; and has never even as much as steped into a boxing gym or an mma gym, let alone learnt anything there, which obviously means he has no valid experience to base his claims on, or opinions, what ever the larper wants to call it I really couldnt care less, and because of that; he should shut up and stop acting like he does.
Now I'll give him undeserved credit; he may know some kung fu, but again that is beside the point, he still doesnt have the right to comment on another art he has no experience with.

That's why i had challenged him earlier and offered to go their on my expense. Just to prove a point that boxing does work in a fight. Especially the old school stuff.

I never said boxing doesn't work in a fight as far as I remember. I may have commented on the weakness of it in the lower gates and the limited techniques involved as compared to the endless techniques in Kung Fu. I prefer kung Fu to boxing.

I've offered to go to Canada and box him. He refused on moral grounds. By saying this he'll probably start talking about his spiritual beliefs. I hope not since this is a martial arts forum. Don't worry about his threat to watch your step. He'll never back it up since he's an Internet Tough Guy who claims he's been in combat. Now I have to side with TTEscrima here. I've never been in the service, but I know people who have (including family) and some of them have fought in real conflicts. That type of combat is a different animal altogether and from what my relatives have told me, it is really scary shit. So TigerClown STFU and stop watching Shaw Brothers movies!

I meant that some try to dig a pit for me to fall into and they will eventually fall into it themselves. The very attacks they use against me will expose them in the end.

No what makes you arrogant is that you think you can comment on boxing or wrestling's self defence effectiveness without having any experience in it at all.

If you have never had any experience with the likes of boxing or wrestling THEN YOU HAVE NO RIGHT to claim it is inferior to kung fu in terms of self defence.

I have studied boxers for years and had many discussions and had them attack me and not get through my guard and defense. I am in a boxing gym often and I know boxers and have studied their fighting for a long time. As far as wrestlers I have studied them also .

You think your opinion is right when the experience you base your opinion only involves experience in kung fu. You cannot compare kung fu to boxing because you have never done boxing.

For example you cannot publish a reveiw on a restaurant that you have never been too/ have no experience of in a newspaper, as this would give a flase and unfair representation.

You are very wrong here. Self righteousness is not this at all. To be selfrighteous is to try and merit salvation or grace by human effort. To consider ones self righteous without God or any help from anyone.

Its beside the point though,
like getting into fisticuffs ant' guna solve anything, and he's more than welcome to claim he cant due to spiritual beliefs or whatever he wants to call them, I think spirituality and martial arts can come hand in hand with each other and have no problem with anyone who choses to stand by a set of beliefs that come with learning a martial art.
