I can't find words to discuss how much that would hurt.

kingoftheforest, I can feel your pain too.

    I've heard this does too...

I may be the last person that have the anti-MMA attitude on this planet. csc stands for "Combat Shuai-Chiao" and that's the integration of kick, punch, lock, and throw, Combat SC = Sanshou or Sanda, a Chinese MMA without the ground game.

Actually I was trying to give credit to what Tom Yum had said. Some people like to pick up the difference and argue about it. We can see that happen quite often in the BullShitDo forum or Kung Fu Magazine forum. I like to pick up the agreement and have deeper discuss instead. The world has filled with enough conflict already. There is no need to turn the internet discussion forum into a battle field.

    It's better to:

    A: My opinion is ...
B: I agree with you 100% there and I also believe that ... (a smart guy).

    than to:

    A: My opinion is ...
    B: You are deadly wrong.
    A: Where was I wrong?
B: You have no clue what you are talking about.
    A: Like what?
    B: Everything you had said.
A: What's your right opinion then?
B: I won't give my valuable opinion away for free (a smart ass).

This is why it may be better to use those special designed training tool (such as a throwing dummy) than to use a life human being. You may still train those moves with caution on your partner. IMO, those destruction techniques are the true treasure in CMA. Unfortunately CMA guys may spend too much time in their solo forms training and put very little effort in their "ability development".
Why is it that I feel like every time someone proves a point on you you sidestep it and try to add something to what someone already said to make yourself feel smart.

Combat sports use scientific training to take it to the next level. Alot of these ancient ideas were already being used by combat sports practitioners in the past, have been improved upon and are nothing new.

It's no different from the "weight pulley" that people trained in the ancient time.

Some equipment training that I'm talking about can be seen in the following clips. There are quite unique IMO.

You're right in some senses. The Japanese (and probably Chinese before them) used sticks that had stone or cement weights attached to the ends that were of various weights.

The idea was to condition the wrists, forearms, shoulders and backs to make
practitioners stronger swordsmen and better strikers.

As far as I know, boxing, Karate, Aikido, TKD, MT don't use "bridge building" concept. Please let me know if I'm wrong on this.
