Sometimes however, moving prematurely will get you hit faster than not doing anything at all.Originally posted by Tant01 View PostAnd sometimes FUNNY?
Perhaps the "guard hand" is guarding something else? Perhaps the low guard is bait for a high line attack?
Much of the KUNG foolery I've seen is defensive in the sense that a student will be taught to REACT...
tisk tisk... Adapting to an environment is one thing. Being proactive is good gong-fu.
Reacting... not so much.
take the initative, do your thing and let me blast the scoffing idiots?
Fair enough? seems like you're just waiting for SOMETHING?
do it already? TY

Some people's imagination is amazing.
Years spent "training" in China. More like years spent in Chinese parks with a cast net and a bag of candy.

The fact that I spent a few years training in China always seemed to intimidate YOU even more than some of the poseurs around here. Which is great!

And you in turn get laughed at yourself, completing the circle of life!

It's kind of evident eh? And there are pics of him out there all snuggled up to his lap dog, mullet and all you just have to check the right profile page LOL.Originally posted by sifuabel View PostAnd your problem is?......................
Oh wait, Location KoKo, thats right, you are that wakinoinoi, unkokusai, Kansuke, dipstick.
Never mind, I don't need to wonder what your obsession is. I already know. You have a hard on for all things CMA. You're on every forum and on every thread.
Note to all: the above person has a severe mental incapacity. OCD to the max. this guy has more screen names and identities that Sybil. Also note that he is untraceable and unverifiable. never a picture, video or anything that makes him real in any way shape or form. He has this delusion of being some incredible martial artist. You should see his fairy tale story of training in china , its a riot.

Bad form is bad form no matter the style it comes from. Besides, its rare a decent Martial artists has anything to do with those rags.Originally posted by Tom Yum View PostSo, back to the original topic of traditional kung fu....
I was reading a few articles from Inside Kung fu and came across an article with a traditional animal stylist demonstrating some form applications - I believe it was Eagle style.
I noticed, the pictures showed the instructor dropping his non-striking hand when delivering a strike to his opponents head. Not good - whenever I've dropped that hand in sparring - whether in sanda, muaythai, boxing, karate or even taekwondo....if I were to drop it in a real fight, it could be lights out.
If the form app leaves the fighter open, shouldn't they refine it to close the gaps?

Well, if someone wanted to learn how to be out of shape and pathetic that would be a great instructional video. rudy provides a bonus track on how to be a pussy and a poor sport at the same time.
