I have been a practitioner of martial arts for over 30 years and I was completely baffled by a style of martial arts I have never seen before. This boy Devin Mei I think his name was completely overpowered me. He must have struck me in 20 locations before I even blinked and I think he went easy on me. Pressure Points?

If you had 30 years experience in any art and a 14 year old overpowered you, then I suspect any system would have been sufficient for him to whip you...and no system on the planet could have saved you.Originally posted by AndyAndy View PostJust found out the kid is only 14. That's just crazy.

LOL, I don't care if you're the reincarnation of Bruce Lee, it takes decades to develop the body into a tool capable of the type of movements needed to strike someone anywhere near 20 times a second with any type of power at all.Originally posted by Movement View Postguys for all we know the kid may be some kind of prodigal martial artist

but andyandy it doesn't look good for you

In order to be effective in the internal arts you need a base in the external arts, that alone takes longer than any 14 year old will have invested. I'm quite familiar with kids who grow up seeing martial arts all day everyday and begin practicing them in diapers (I was one) and I'm involved in teaching a number of multiple generation martial families.

Dude either got whipped in a video game, his dreams, or else Tigerclaw just got his buttwhipped by a kid.Last edited by TTEscrima; 08-19-2009, 02:47 AM.

Man that's great!!! You must've surely fallen at his feet & begged him to be your teacher... what movie was this you were watching?

Reminds me of a demo I attended recently & left feeling much better about me & my time in the martial arts without even breaking a sweat.
