In regards to that kempo and kenpo thing; I'm pretty sure ones kung fu and the other karate. I'm basing this on the fact I've tried soppossed shoalin kempo. ( going by all the punches its probbibly northern and they said it was founded in 42)

            Answer

Your question is simple,I went to north China to study Wu Shu,At present i have a teacher over there,He is amazing,I asked the same question to my self, and to my teacher,Is drunken boxing effective,so as our usual workout consists of wrestling,he used the drunken style, could i get him to the floor,NO,The style is strong, fast, decevable,If you have a chance to learn this style,Learn it, Hope this answers your question,Any other questions please ask,

            while.

Is it an effectve method of combat? It looks as though its very ellusive and strives to confuse an opponent.

Or, is it just a useless form used for fancy and exiting hollywood fight seens?

Does anyone know anything about it?, or want to comment on this particular style of Kungfu?

            Thanks

I noticed Ramus said you must study 20 years to be any good,This information is incorrect,My teacher always told me,The more you put in,the more you get out,as you know,Remember everybody is differnt,I studied it for 7 hours a day,for a long time, after doing all of my other routines, give all you can,

about drunken boxing, i've never seen it on the street so i can't comment, i would be anxious to see it in ufc or something though.about the kenpo and kempo thing, they are the same thing, just spelled differently.
like kung fu and gong fu...it's just the spelling. they are both forms of karate. and karate came from kung fu. but for the most part it's a more practical style of karate

Is there such a thing as drunken cock style? Do they practice sticky hand drills and sensitivity drills?

Don't worry about ramus. Those of us who remember his weekly "now I do this art" threads know that he didn't mean 20 years.

                          He meant 20 minutes.

The only problem is that once you see past the deception in their movement, the strikes are very simple and their balance is sometimes weak.

                                But it does look cool.
