    • I just read the history & legacy of Dr. Lo Yan Chui founder of Kong Han Athletic Club. The material was very inspiring & emotional & the best part I like most was about " Martial Virtue" and it is this principle that seem to be missing in many modern martial art & combat school.

Many great kung fu masters seem to have some great feats & most of the time it is their combat feats that are mostly remembered. But Dr. Lo Yan Chui prefer to be remember not for his combat feats but for his healing abilities as a chinese medical doctor helping mostly the less fortunate.

More Power to Kong Han Athletic Club

      • It's always easier to destroy than to fix. A real master is capable of not only to destroy efficiently, but also is capable of promoting growth.

And that is what kung fu is real all about, promoting growth.

Was this directed at me? If so, there are many reasons, the first being that I do not have any video equipment. The second being that I have been forbidden by my teacher from posting any images of our training on the internet. However, if you ever happen to be in Sydney Australia, or at the Ngor Chor conference that occurs every year then let me know and we can either meet up or I can organise for you to meet with one of my training brothers.

I assume that you are using wuqiquan in the same way I am using wujiquan? Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong used to teach an art alongside NCK that was called wujiquan. It was practiced slowly in a similar way to tai chi. I cannot say that I know it, only that I have learned a little bit of it - a couple of the basic forms and some partnered exercises.

                            • I have lived in the US for the past 9 years. However, I am currently in Indonesia for the summer. I take this as a good opportunity for training.
