Its just simple like this Greg Alland and my instructor were in the core group of Leo Gaje jr.
Back then Greg was too busy ripping everyone off and fast talking while my teacher was being dedicated to learning the entire system of Pekiti Tirsia. Greg promotes Pekiti tirsia but doesnt know it really. creates his own stuff and calls it PT. Sells CRAPPy videos and takes unknowing saps money. So when I see anyone involved with him I have to assume they dont know jack either. I have done challenge fights and I want to make my mark so I call it out too see who has the cahones to put it on the line. Since Greg spposely does stick sparring lets see how good he really is? If hes too scared or too old I called out on Tanner who says hes some kind of champion fighter and a student of Greg Alland. CMon Dustin etan where is your response at? Funny how come those two dont answer on here? My qualifications? somewhere about over 100 street fights and challenge matches. Ive beaten many down with the stick gear on full contact. I'll tell more if Alland or Tanner wants to put up or shut up!

Wow VT3, so you know of the past of the Alland from the beginning. You seem to know a great deal of the past. We are all curious of the name of such a brave and daring person. Please share with us who you are friend.

Hmmm, this is getting interesting... OK so you claim to be a student of Billy Mcgrath, yes? I know that Billy and Greg have had their problems in the past, and I for one say let them resolve any problems that they have between themselves. As only each of them know the bad blood that has been trampled through in the past. Its not our place to resolve this for them. unless they choose for us too of course...

For the record Billy and Tuhon Gaje have had problems over the same issues that you are accusing Greg of having with the Pekiti-tirsia Organization. As a matter of fact not long ago (1996-1999) there was a huge negative campaign from the Philippines (Negros Occidental) against Billy`s claim of being a certified "Tuhon" in Kali Pekiti-tirsia. As Both Tuhon Gaje and Tuhon Tortal denied at that time of ever promoting him to that rank and title. According to them that title is reserved for a Pure Blood Pilipino only and not a foreign born national of another country. Does this mean that Billy is not a capable Master in Kali Pekiti-tirsia? Of course not as everyone knows that Billy has only trained with Tuhon Leo and that he is a long time recognized pillar in Kali Pekiti-tirsia.

Why do I bring this up you may ask? Because a long time ago Greg too was in good with Tuhon Gaje and had honest aspirations of growth with-in the Pekiti-tirsia family as did Billy. But Politics reared its ugly head against him as it did against Billy and many of the early Pekiti-Tirsia guys who apprenticed under Tuhon Leo in the early 70`s and 80`s in N.Y.. None of us were there when things went bad between those three so none of us can speak with precise clarity on the subject at hand. Only Tuhon Gaje, Billy and Greg can resolve the problems between them, as they are the only ones that know what the argument is about.

I think that it is honorable that you are defending the honor of your Instructor, but I think that you have chosen a battle that is not yours to fight. I also in the past have defended the Honor of my Instructor Punong Guro Edgar G. Sulite fighting public challenges for him. I as well as other Students of PG Sulite have fought public challenges for his good name against young know it all punks in the past directing ill-will toward him and his good reputation. However we did this in the pilipino way with honor and respect and not on an open forum.

I will give you one challenge account of several that you can easily verify by asking the people which were present and also fighting for PG Sulites honor. Marc Denny, Ron Baliki, myself, Felix Valencia, Roger Agbulos, Arnold Noche, and Steve Tarani all were notified of a challange issued against him from a guy whom had insulted him at a seminar in ohio.

We were notified by PG Sulite to meet him at Phil Rapagnas school in Alta Dena , CA (1995) and to prepare to fight a challenge to restore his honor against this guy that had been spouting off and that PG Sulite had agreed to fly out for the challenge. The Pilipino way was that if this "Challenger" had bested any of PG Sulites best students in a fight than he would win the right to fight PG Sulite directly. If the challenger lost he were seen as not being worthy of fighting PG Sulite as he could not beat PG Sulites` best students. Among the core group who fought numerous challanges for Punong Guro Sulite no one ever got past us so PG Sulite always had his honor restored without ever having to fight for himself, at least here among those of us in the Los Angeles group.

So my advice to you is that if you want to continue your current path and aspirations of fighting Greg I say that he is a public personality and is not hard to find. It is to my understanding that he teaches on a somewhat regular basis there in your area of NY as well he has an e-mail address where he can be reached 24/7. If you are the one issuing the challange it is up to you to notify him and not throw up negative postings on a public forum that he may participate on or may not and have him get in touch with you.

If you approach him at a seminar he has the right to fight you there or give the challange to his best student, or arrange for a different date at a more idealistic location. If you beat the student that he selects than in accordance with tradition you have the right to fight him directly. I have been personally challanged several times at seminars that i`ve taught around the world but in stead of giving the fight to my best student I chose to fight them there and then myself. Each person accepting a challenge has the right to set the terms. Some will wuss out and choose to do it with gear on and place limitations and restrictions on the fight. I have always chosen to accept and fight my challenges with out gear with no restrictions using heavy kamagong. These fights often ended very quickly sometimes requiring a trip to the hospital for my opponent afterward. Sometimes it just ended with a broken hand or arm and my opponent would submit. I feel that when you challenge my honor and blemish my good name in public I will not stop short of breaking your head. Thats just me as I take challenges very serious and once my honor has been blemished only drawn blood from my accuser can cleanse my honor. Again just me...

I don`t know you VT3, but it would be nice for you to give us your name so that we know with whom we are communicating. Everyone here has come forth and posted under our actual names and for one I have nothing to hide and no reason to run. I can`t tell you what to do as you are a grown man but I feel that if you had problems with Greg you should have done this directly with him man to man via private messages and not on an open forum. Again just my opinion.

I say again and feel it worth repeating don`t get involved in politics as it will only divide and obstruct you from your goals and truest possible potential. I have heard good things about Billy Mcgrath but if all that I had to go on were a few negative words from others I would hold him in low esteem. Since I have heard many good things about him from numerous worthy sources I know that alot of the negative can be cancelled out. The same for Greg or any one else that has fallen victim to the nasty business of politics. Personally I never judge someone by what is said about them but rather I hold my judgement until I see and feel for myself first hand how they move in combat.

Never take the most popular rumors about someone without trying to find out first the whole truth from all involved. The truth can be found with good research about anything or anyone, you simply listen to both sides and then look somewhere in the middle for what actually occured. There you have it VT3, go well.

i am new to the kali world and would like some advice on how to improve my kali. i have some of greg allands tapes but am looking for more info about training and knife. if anyone could help me it would be really great. also i was reading everything on here about greg alland and frome what i see and know about him he is a good man,so what is the "real" story about him. i am only here to find out the truth and improve myself and my training in this art. again much thanks.

Someone say that he didnt like his tapes and this is his right to say that, others klike them but till now Mr Alland didnt say any about that so why u keep on insulting somenoe that for sure is older than U and wiser?
Why we dont better try to interchange ideas in how to imrpove our training or how to help our teachers in the Ph, how many of them need some help how mayn of them are there maybe sick and not even one student asking about him? Who am I? Thats easy enough i`m Guro Dave Gould. Everyone here knows this because I post under my own name and I always have. The real question is who the hell are you??? First off don`t tell me to get F****d, I`ve trained in the warrior arts since you were 1 year old sucking your thumb and shitting your diapers (1977). Since you have been on this forum you have offered nothing positive. Out of the 16 posts that you have made only two are not negative.

In 4 posts you are challenging and talking shit about P. Greg Alland, in 3 posts you talk shit about and Challenge David Tanner. In 1 post you challenge Dustin Eatan AKA David Tanner. In 1 post you make the claim in the Boxing Forum that " My style is the best no one here could handle me". And in 1 post you talk shit about Jerry Beasley and how he is a fraud and how you could kick his ass. Why should anyone here listen to what you have to say? As far as i`m concerned in your area of N.Y. unless you are Tom Bisio, Frank Ortega, or Billy Mcgrath your opinion carries no weight on the matter as you are only parroting at best what others have said.

This question is simple, who have you trained under In Kali Pekiti-tirsia besides Billy Mcgrath and possibly Frank Ortega and for how long? I`ve trained Pekiti-tirsia since the early 80`s and have received my training in the system from the highest authority in Kali Pekiti-tirsia available. I`m a long time student of Tuhon Leo T. Gaje in the (United states and Philippines) as well i`ve trained Pekiti-tirsia under Tuhon "Nene" Tortal, Punong Guro Edgar G. Sulite, Guro Dan Inosanto, Guro Lowell Pueblos, and a hand full of other certified Instructors under Tuhon Gaje in Bacolod City, Negros occidental Philippines. I don`t recall any of them mentioning your name, for the matter I don`t recall you mentioning your name either???

If you are going to talk shit about someone you need to be in a position from which to talk shit. Come forward with your name and your experience in Kali Pekiti-Tirsia by which to formulate an expertise in Kali Pekiti-tirsia thereby placing you in a position to level such accusations of whom is or is not knowledgeable enough to teach the system that you are claiming expertise in. I could come forward and say that Einsteins theory of relativity was shit but unless I can prove that I am quite knowledgeable in Physics no-one in the know would accept my opinion because I would be speaking out of ignorance.

Again I say to you that if you want a response from P. Greg Alland be a man and send him an e-mail than there will be no doubt that he is aware of your challenge. Just throwing up negative posts on an open forum which he may or may not participate on will not guarantee you a response from him. It`s easy to hide behind a moniker and talk shit about someone behind their back, it takes a man to look into the eyes of the one that you accuse and express your thoughts one to one and face the consequences there of. Grow up VT3 and become the best practioner of Kali Pekiti- Tirsia that you can be, and let everyone else worry about themselves.

All of you wanna be stick guys including Greg Alland and especially David Tanner! Word has been out now about my wanting to fight Where are they! They are Cowards when it comes to facing a real fighter like me!

Dude You sure do talk a lot of trash. We all know who Tanner is...All I got to say is if you want to fight with boxing/kickboxing you better be well schooled and be real ready to get hit Real HARD!

And Of course We all know who Greg Alland is, We may not like his videos but he seems like someone who is well respected in the filipino martial arts and with over 30 years in the art...he is very popular for some reason.

The question still remains "Who are you?"

If I were issuing a challenge to VT3 he would know it. I am very much so to the point when either issuing or accepting challenges and neither do I do on open forums. If I have a problem with someone that requires a challenge to be issued my communications with that person would be immediate, direct and private. To me a challenge is between only the parties directly involved to resolve on-going issues between the two that can not be resolved with further dialogue or to re-establish respect that has been previously tarnished. In either case it should never be a public spectacle involving anyone other than the two parties in disagreement.

I`m a simple man and I fight for honor, respect, and in some cases for those that can not fight for themselves but never for pride or ego. I know who I am and what my capabilities are and I only ask that people treat me with the same respect that I bestow on them, no more... no less. I`m no stranger to fighting as I have found myself in combat zones before, and to me a warrior is not born but rather made and forged from years of experience and the ability to demonstrate great intestinal fortitude at risk of personal injury. How each of us address our personal affairs and how we treat our enemies and our friends says much about who we are as a people.

For the record I run from no man and I will fight anyone for the right reasons, but I don`t bully people around and tear them down only to make myself look strong. I have to say that have issues with people that do. As for VT3 I did not care for the way that he dealt with the P. Greg Alland issue, so I spoke up and brought this to his attention. I feel that he is entitled to his opinion and this was never the issue at hand, but rather it was when he started calling out Greg on a public forum that factored the final decision for me to get involved. Some of you may like him (Greg Alland) and some may not but he is entitled to handle this directly with his accuser out of public view without his reputation being drug through the mud on an open forum.

Greg Alland is a long time friend of mine and none of you can even begin to imagine what he has been put through all for the sake of politics. Again i`m not saying that he is an Angel and that he has never wronged anyone, we are all guilty of that in our own rights and none here are without fault. But there are ways to address these issues and then there are ways not to address them.

I am happy that VT3 has thought about this and has come to a sensible conclusion to back off of the issue with Greg Alland on the Forum. That shows strength and personla growth as he is able to admit that he could have went about this in a more suitable fashion than was taken. Kudos to him and to any one else who is strong enough to rectify faults with-in themselves. Even at the risk of looking weak in the process... Go well guys, ciao.
