i do free fighting in TSD so i know stand up fighting okay.
free fighting (if you dont know) is basically semicontact sparring to the body, but punches and kicks to the head dont make contact, but are more "implied" so you make your oponent aware that you beat there guard but stop just before you make impact.
Kind of embarrasing but, i asked my G/F about doing fullcontact at JKD and had a pretty hard time persuading her, as she doesnt want me to get hurt
so i'm not sure if its really an option.
(before you say, I'm not whipped, i just respect her opinion
)

lies, lies. TSD is shotokan with a Korean name and an emphasis on hip movement.
however back on subject.....tsd free fighting and full contact are two totally different beasts.The difference between semi-contact and full contact boxing or muay thai is like buying 2 cars for the price of 1.If you have not sparred full contact alot you cant stand up that good.Im not trying to knock you its just a fact of combat.All you gotta do it ask a boxer to go full contact with you and you will see the deifference....dont just take some guys word for it on the computer....espically mine
I say don't listen to what people say, go and see for yourself.
