Toronto Ki Society has:
(All hours reset from acquisition of last rank.)
5th Kyu: 30 hrs (at least 3 months)
4th Kyu: 30 hrs
3rd Kyu: 30 hrs
2nd Kyu: 50 hrs + 6 months after 3rd Kyu
1st Kyu: 50 hrs + 6 months after 2nd Kyu
1st Dan: 70 hrs
Time to BB: 260 hours, ~1.5 yrs.
For most people in the USAF, it takes about 7-8 years for a BB, assuming you practice 3X a week. For those who train harder & go to seminars, summer camp, etc., this time could theoretically be cut in half, but you'd have to train about 6-8 hours a week.
Realistically, it sounds like you could get your BB in about 2 years, if you practiced regularly where you are. It doesn't sound like they let people get their BB's sooner than about a year and a half. If your sensei waives this and trains you 10 hours a week, then it's theoretically possible.
My personal opinion is that they should have a few more hours for each rank, but if this works for them, then great.
