I have seen Tackett post here, and I understand that he has served his country in the Air Force. You should offer him respect if for only that reason. I get so pissed that people like you, who have never done anything for this country, who are so self absorbed (and for no reason since you have done nothing special in life or for anyone but yourself) get on and criticize others who have served. I also have seen nothing but repsectful responses on the forum from Mr. Tackett. What he did in his forum is irrelevant here, oh obese-one.

You should have dealt with it there, between him and you, man-to-man, instead of this cowardly way. none of have anything to do with it, and frankly, really dont care. If you cant add to the forum, then dont post.

Some of us use reading this forum as a way of stress release and entertainment and some of us dont have all the time in the world to do so.

I feel Mike Brewer summed it up beautifully. You are the one who chose to air it in this public forum when there was no need. That act was about your need to reinforce your petty little ego. If you are willing to air others dirty laundry in public, then lets have a look at yours. I am glad that you have gotten more positive than negative responses to your post. Many with low-self esteeem need such reinforcement. So as Mr. Brewer said, you began this, now either explain it fully so we can make up our own minds about who did what to whom, or let it go.

So, while I dont have your free time (some of us are serving meaningful existences), if I am so inclined to, I will answer you when and if you would like, at least when I have the chance to access a computer. I am sure you have more time than me, all you have to do is put down the chicken leg, wipe off your greasy fingers (hopefully), and sit down in your nice cozy, air-conditioned home at the computer. Some do not have that luxury at present.

Who you chose to consider as pretty well-respected members of the martial arts community is your business, if you know what to respect them for in the first place.The WNG is not the same and never will be now that Tackett's senior student and us have gone our own ways. If all you want are seminar instructors and a high turn over rate as your measure of success, go for it and have at it. Call me old fashion, but I still believe you should have a foundation from which to grow and doing a couple of seminars here and there does not make a qualified instructor. Being called an asshole,prick and egotist, may hurt your lame ass feelings, it just helps me sleep better at night. If you actually knew me and/or trained with me, you would have nothing but good things to say about me. But trust me, more that likely we will never even cross paths. Don't let the magazine articles and Videos fool you, I was there and know what it's all about. Mike, I believe they are looking for instructors, maybe you can use your posts as a way into the WNG.

PS ask Tackett/ADMIN why am I now banned from their forum and why he took down the statement from there. He claims to be about free speech or is that only when it only good news about your garage group.

Here we go: The days of the same old - same old JKD basic seminars are over with.....The days of people with holding information back are over with.....The days of ass kissing to get a head or rank in something, has been exposed.....The days of being "Entitled" are over with....The seminar process of the 90's is over with.....People are more educated now and know the difference between being bullshited, or being taught information....


I have seen to many people ass kissing - positioning......For a long time it seem to me that people think cause someone has a DVD or writes articles and books that they are an expert or master....My friends anyone can write or do a DVD, its simple......Once again doesn't mean your are "Entitled or Have Arrived"......As far as JKD, its has become JKD LITE over the years of ass kissing - positioning without having the ability to actual know how to fight....But on a different note, there are some ass thumper's out there, they are far and few.....To me and my understanding Jeet Kune Do is first and foremost its about fighting and in this process we find out about oursleves.....Who we really are.....Its not suppose to make us think that we have arrived and/or that we are "King of all JKD Land" and "Entitled"......If you call yourself MA, than baby.......It never ends, as a student of art and life...!

Mr. Franco: I have always appreciated your views and learned a great deal from your posts. If you have decided to move on from an association with WNG or jkd in general, all I can say is that I respect your views, and wish you the best. Bruce himself said that jkd is like a boat to get to the other side of the shore; once you are there, you need not carry the boat on your back. If some teachers would rather move on from jkd or break ties with certain established jkd experts, we should just wish them well, and move on ourselves. And since I have seen your repsoenses on another forum, I find this statement both humorous and hypocritical since you yourself have never served in the military (let alone in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Gulf War I as some of us on this and the other forums you felt the need to spread your peacock wings on, have). Yes, I know your teacher may have served , but you yourself chose not to serve your country. And havinge a few holes in you doesnt mean you have experienced combat. Try taking a few holes in the freakin desert and then talk to me.

Nor have you served as either a Law Enforcement or Corrections Officer. So exactly how is it you have any knowledge of those things? Oh, your teacher, right, but not you? And if you really trained that hard with your teacher you sure would not look as you do.

Until you actually experience those things you criticize others for not having experienced, perhaps you should worry more about yourself than others. What kind of role model are you? Not much of one, but rather an example of poor health and an arrogant attitude. Obesity is the number one health threat to Americans. More calories out and less calories in equals weight loss. Anyone, who has actually trained with me knows what I am able to do and I know what I can't.
