I somewhat agree about the movie "Game of Death". The only scene I enjoy watching is the scenes with Bruce Lee actually fighting NOT that imposter.

Actualy I think the people on this forum are a bit obssessed about him. He is OVER-RATED.

NO, to be a good scientist you need to be good at science. Bruce was good at fighting. Science is not the same as fighting.

Bruce was not a god, or an alien, he was not ressurected and now working as a secret agent. He was just a guy.

He also had many bad points (I don't care if you call me a heretic). He could be angry and violent. He was OBSESSED with training. He wore a silly yellow tracksuit in one of his films.

Bruce never was and never will be perfect. Trying to copy him won't make you as good at fighting as him. Praising him and saying how great he was and how much we all must respect him won't make him come down from heaven and grant you wishes.

This forum may as well be called the "wasn't bruce great, how can I be more like him?" forum.

Stop bad mouthing Bruce Lee. In all probability most of us wouldnot have done martial arts had it not been for Lee popularising it.

Lee was fast, He was powerful, He was simple, direct effective. Lets Learn that.

He was not limited to any style. He was non competitive. What his sparring abilities were you have to ask his students.

He first introduced sparring in all ranges, sparring with protective gear going all out. He was acknowledged by all top martial artists of his time. Jhoon Rhee, Chuck Norris, Bob Wall, Joe Lewis, Gene Lebell, etc.

His contribution to the world of fighting is incomparable.

Why gossip about something that is immaterial? Lets Train harder. To Keep an open mind.

i agree that bruce lee was the man in the 60's and 70's, but its 2006. we have robots wiping our asses for us. you cant compare a 1970's delta 88 to a mclaren f1. it dosnt work, mainly because of the time frame, and also because of fighting evolution. i dont know how the subject of bruce lee can be stretched to 15 pages. basically what would have happened is that he would have gotten really old, be the master of his dojang. die of old age, then have his ashes thrown off a cliff.

i do martial arts because i want to kick people in the face. plain and simple. i find steven seagal, van damm, chuck norris, and keeanu reeves not only halarious but also entertaining. people dont watch bruce lee anymore because its old and so is the subject of bruce lee. dont get me wrong, i think bruce lee was amazing "back in the day," but its not back in the day anymore and with seagal and van damm coming out with halarious movies every month bruce lee is slowly slipping from peoples minds.

Bruce Lee isnt over rated. We just want to know how he got to become so fast and such a good fighter... He was also a good teacher. That didn't just tell them what they are suppose to do but pointed them to the way and it is normal that people want to be like him and he trained alot but he has a great success story behind all that, for example he came to the states with nothing and hoping to get accepted into college, he didnt know if he would get accept or not but he did and he didnt have it easy there eighter,he went from being a angry teenager to being a very respectfull man in seatle and then around the world.
