look.....dude.....i have made some good points in the realities of wrestling vs martial arts while you on the other hand struggle, gasping for air in your own dogmaticism. Seriously go away. Go back to playing wwf or ninja vs samurai in the back yard of your trailer park or go play dungeons and dragons with your little friends or go practice your tai chi.
just dont bother me with your lame attempts at validation of a sport that doesnt apply to a real situation wherein an experienced martial artist is involved.
either way, I am done with you, so......shoo shoo little man

You seem utterly unqualified for that attitude, jackass.

                thats great
I am discussing a style and bringing up points, only getting personal with a guy who got personal with me.
then, this guy, jubaji, comes in and totally lays into me when i am not here.
                awsome, jubaji, awsome.
Original insults too. I was totally destroyed by them. I honestly dont know if i can go to my dojo as a whole man now.
I bow to your awsome prowess. I wish you were my student so that i could learn from you.
                ha ha ha ha ha.
Lastly, you are right......I must be unqualified. After all you said so right?
and you know all. I at least try to have respect for all the other martial artists here, except for ignorant people who attack from behind with no honor.

one last thing to the comment of the so well informed one above
maybe in your school they are half-assed and theoretical.
My school, we wear 12 ounce gloves in order to go full contact. we tend to throw out everything that doesnt work in reality. Don't ever presume something you dont know. You should have asked me to elaborate instead of attacking. That is ok, I forgive you

Sound familiar? You are not "discussing a style and bringing up points", you are just another punk mouthing off on the internet.

Your school is not a wrestling club, is it? No.
You spend a limited amount of time (if any) working takedowns, don't you? Yes.
You assume that you 'would' beat an assailant unconscious with your 'deadly' finishing techniques, but you never beat your classmates unconscious, do you? No.
                      Hence, the assessment.

bottom line i think, taking wrestling is better than not taking it, in terms of self defence, knowing a little is better than knowing nothing even if what u know is foolish or dumb.

you know nothing of my dojo.
we have a class just for jujitsu and judo and groundfighting.
students have been knocked unconcious, broken noses, and broken ribs and the like.
we also compete in full contact tournaments as well as boxing tournaments.
Your assessment is based on your speculation.
My question to you......why are your personally attacking me without any knowledge of my art or the arts i haven taken?
                          stick to the subject man.

                            excellent point.
i agree like i said before.
My point was that i simply thought between the two....wrestling and martial arts........martial arts would be better for learning how to defend yourself.

You did the exact same thing to me. I have years of judo, jujitsu, and "wrestling" experience and you talk down to me just because your dojo offers a class? You sir are a hypocrit for getting angry at a person for performing the exact same logical flaws as you.

As far as your points against wrestling and martial arts did you just forget how well wrestlers have done in the UFC and Pride? You yourself brought up MMA redefining what grappling was but wrestlers have done very well against what you consider real martial artists. Randy Coture, Mark Coleman,Tito Ortiz, etc are just a few.

Wrestling teaches very good takedowns, balance, how to battle for superior position, and its not too far a step to add in strikes, chokes, and locks. The way you have expressed your opinion on the subject appears to me that you think people can only do what was taught to them in a class and that human beings are unable to be innovative.
