Just thought i would share this "TORTURE" with you guys.
The best grappling conditioning workout i have ever come across.

NOTE: parental guidance recommended, for the mentally unbalanced only
    Its a killer
    Hope it helps.

That sounds pretty good... except I have no place to store a bunch of sandbags and 2 120 pound dumbells would cost a pretty penny.

Probably the most important characteristeic of a grappler is endurance. I suggest doing bear crawls to get up your cardio. Try to draw three large sumo circles on the ground(make them in a line) and put some space between each one. Start at the end of the line and Bear crawl around each circle and back 3 times a day. Remember going down and back counts as one. This exercise should build up your cardio and leg muscles real quick.

            Solo Drills

Shadow grappling-is getting on the mat and visualizing an opponent in front of you. Work for takedowns, defenses of takedowns, work for position, shadow boxing in the top mount to set off armbar submission, chain all your moves together. Develop contant movement and flow. This mixed with a partner or grappling dummy will bring your game up a few levels.

Floor bags or grappling dummies- the ground and pound game! basically it is the same as the shadow grappling but you now have an object to punch and move around, and submit.

Get mats in your garage, and invite a BJJ friend over to train with you. Do one single technique for an hour. Do it on both sides. Then your body might remember how to do it in sparring.

Actually, I've tried sandbag training and it is really grueling... But "yes," you guys are right — it's hard to keep sandbags around the house (unless you have a big house and yard).

In my opinion, grappling requires functional strength like pulling, lifting and pushing. Hence, I use a set of barbells, some chairs and I'm set... I try to perform my exercises with explosive power while maintaining good form. Here are some of the things I've done in the past when conditioning for grappling.

                      Military Press
                      Bent Row
                      Squat
                      Lunge
                      Farmer's Walk
                      Parallel Bar Dips
                      Bench Press

Except for the Bar Dips, every exercise is done using barbells. The compound exercises: bench press, squat and bent row are great for developing overall body strength. Complement a jogging routine and you should be in good shape.

i promise i would return them in the same condition as recieved
My non bjj mates are too lazy
my bjj mates live too far away
I'm changing school locations because of travel so it might be a bit
                          easier to find training partners.
Who do you train under and where cakegirl?

I do BJJ in Sydney/Central Coast with Luke Beston, Elvis Sinosic and Anthony Perosh. I do karate with people you probably haven't heard of.
